Orange County’s chief operating officer, who was convicted of election fraud in the 1990s, was stripped this week of his position overseeing the county elections office.

Mark Denny will keep his other duties, while the registrar of voters will instead report directly to the CEO, according to an organization chart distributed by the CEO office Monday.
