The PE: RIVERSIDE COUNTY: Unused leave a growing liability

Riverside County owes its employees at least $188 million in unused sick and vacation time and other leave, and since 2011, at least 75 employees received leave cashouts worth $100,000 or more.

Riverside County owed its employees $188.3 million in unused leave as of this summer and in recent years, at least 75 employees got six-figure payouts for unused sick leave and vacation time, county figures show.
