A special fund that pays for Riverside County landfills, such as Badlands in Moreno Valley, will pay $1.8 million a year to the county’s general fund to be used for other public services.

The fund fueling the bulk of Riverside County’s public services expects to take in more than $1.8 million a year by charging its landfill system rent under an arrangement unanimously approved by the Board of Supervisors on Tuesday, Nov. 26.
