Gary Miller

Congressman Gary Miller

Sunday, November 17, 2013 – 09:30 a.m.

U.S. Representative Gary Miller (R-Rancho Cucamnong) has received a huge gift this holiday season.

A gift that will keep on giving.

It’s called ObamaCare, otherwise known as the Affordable Care Act.

Until now, Miller hasn’t had too much to be happy about.

  • Miller, resides in the Democrat-leaning 31st Congressional District.
  • He’s on the National Democratic Congressional Committee hit list.
  • Most political prognosticators have the upcoming election for his district as “lean” Democrat.

Not anymore!

Miller is going to face one of four announced Democrat candidates in November 2014. Those candidates are Redlands Mayor Pete Aguilar, Former Congressman Joe Baca, Attorney Eloise Gomez Reyes and School Board Trustee Danny Tillman.

Recent events, mainly the implosion of President Barack Obama’s signature legislation, has tilted the tables.

Many Democrats, running for reelection in the House and Senate, especially those in conservative areas of the country, are worried. Many of them are now in jeopardy because of the plethora of problems, with the healthcare law’s impact on insurance coverage, and more importantly, the pocketbooks of millions of Americans.

While California is by no means a conservative area of the nation, Miller’s district has a hefty number of independent and decline-to-state voters.

Voter’s, who are likely becoming increasingly unhappy with the current situation, and who will vote with their wallets.

No one is disputing the fact that there’s more problems coming down the ObamaCare highway. More cancellations, more part-time jobs, higher taxes, higher premiums, fewer doctors and longer wait times.

You name it. It’s coming!

Miller should write the President a thank you note.
