The latest update from the San Bernardino County Registrar of Voters shows Judi Penman now trailing Abigail Medina in her bid to be re-elected to the San Bernardino Unified School District, Board of Trustees.  She trails Medina by a scant 37 votes!

The Sun: 9 pull papers to run for 5th Ward council seat

SAN BERNARDINO >> Nine candidates have already pulled papers to run in the February election for the City Council seat that was held by Councilman Chas Kelley until he resigned last month.

The deadline to turn in nomination papers is 5 p.m. Friday.

So far, about 40,000 felons have been affected by California’s “realignment” program, which is aimed at reducing overcrowding in prisons in accordance with federal court orders without, it’s said, releasing dangerous criminals to prey upon the public.
