Still a year out from the 2014 election, Republicans hoping to challenge Democrat Jerry Brown are getting their teams in place.
The latest: Tea Party favorite and conservative darling Tim Donnelly, the GOP Assemblyman who announced today that GOP strategist Jennifer Kerns has joined his campaign for governor.
Kerns has plenty of experience, working most recently on the successful recall efforts in Colorado, for former Insurance Commissioner Steve Poizer, and a host of other GOP efforts. But most famously, she was the voice of Prop. 8, the voter approved initiative which outlawed same sex marriage (but has since been overturned in the courts).
Here’s a look at her outreach on Twitter, where she holds court as @CAPartyGirl:
My column in The Washington Times today: “Blue-State Governors Bruised by Gun Control Bills: Is Jerry Brown Next” http://t.co/wWpjMvbS57 #2a

We told you last week about the entire team brought on board by former Lt. Gov. Abel Maldonado, who’s relaunched his effort with some major GOP strategists, media and polling experts.
Now take a peek at the official release from the Donnelly campaign:
Kerns is one of the winningest Press Secretaries in the GOP, including winning every newspaper endorsement in the State for a candidate including The San Francisco Chronicle, The Los Angeles Times, and the Spanish-language La Opinion.

Time for Brown to call the moving vans. He’ll need to find a new apartment in December 2014.
He may have to move, but it won’t be because of timmy (anyone seen my gun)donnely.
Donnelley is a joke, a legend in a small mind
Donnelly supports Sheriff John McMahon, SIMPLY because Donnelly heard McMahon’s speech at Deputy MacKay’s funeral and was impressed. WOW!!!!
Good to know Donnelly is easily impressed with those he supports. Donnelly should read McMahon’s deposition and see if he thinks that is COOL too.
If Donnelly bothered to check around about his pal McMahon, and to look in his briefcase, remove that gun, we would not be having this conversation that’s for sure.
ACU I think Donnelly has backed out on supporting McMahon. I hear there is too much heat on McMahon, with the many lawsuits and idiot moves McMahon is making. I also hear Rutherford is getting blasted for endorsing McMahon. I think the unions other than SEBA want their employees to be able to take care of their dying family members without getting fired. That makes these whore politicians think about that union money.
Just Saying.
Thanks Row, but when I see that in WRITING I’ll believe it.
That’s goes for Curt Hagman or should I say HACKMAN, Paul Cook, Mike Morrell, what a joke he has become.
