California saw a 2.4 percent month-to-month decline in job vacancies advertised online in August while Sacramento listings held fairly steady, according to the latest statistics released by the Conference Board.

Statewide, there were 541,700 ads in August, down from 555,100 in July. The month-to-month decline of nearly 13,500 ads led the nation. However, the August total was up substantially from 516,100 in August last year.
