Following three years of decline, California’s Indian casinos enjoyed a comeback in revenue during 2011, according to a new report.
Gambling revenue at the state’s tribal casinos increased 1.6 percent to $6.91 billion, according to an annual survey by Alan Meister, an economic consultant who surveys the industry.
Meister, principal economist with Nathan Associates Inc. in Irvine, said the 2011 results represented a turnaround from the year before, when revenue dropped 2.3 percent.
