It’s really kind of bizarre, and more importantly unprofessional.
The conduct of press conferences related to the manhunt, in the San Bernardino Mountains, in and around Big Bear Lake, for murder suspect Christopher Dorner were out of line.
Comments from San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner John McMahon made particularly on Friday were disappointing to say the least.
The noon news report on Los Angeles-based KFI AM-640 news radio was a prime example. McMahon, rather than strictly addressing the search for murder suspect Dorner, spent more time plugging the Board of Supervisors, Third District Supervisors James Ramos, Congressman Paul Cook, and the Mayor of Big Bear.
I’ve never seen any Southern California Sheriff, or police chief of a major city, make comments like this.
For a minute I thought I was listening to a political fundraiser.
A quote from McMahon: “Congressman Paul Cook, the board of supervisors, and Third District Supervisor James Ramos, support this effort.”
WTF!
I’m really glad he cleared that up. For a second I thought they might support Dorner instead.
Then the mayor of Big Bear Lake is paraded out to tell listeners that Big Bear, a popular ski resort, is open for business. Don’t worry about the manhunt for an armed murder suspect. The mayor went on to say that most residents up there were armed!
The public service portion of the press conference? We haven’t found Dorner and we have no credible leads.
Maybe whoever’s telling McMahon how to have a press conference should be sent out to hunt for Dorner by themselves.
Mayor Big Bear: Enjoy your time in the snow (don’t worry about nuttin’)!
Sheriff Mac: Hey what is this white stuff… they call it snow?

Mayor Big Bear: This political networking is getting real exciting… I just remembered something, aren’t we supposed to be TRACKING A KILLA’…?
Don’t for a moment think that San Bernardino County is really paying for this search. While it is true that the county will have to pay its employees for the search with current county money, they will when this is all over and done with give the bill to Los Angeles County, if that is his county of residence. In the end, they will be paying for this. Think when we call out the search and rescue teams to search for lost individuals lost in our county. The bill is always paid for by the county of residence of the lost individual…..

Hoops Penrod and Twidwell got uncomfortable with all the PRESS and attention, so they cut off all communication with McMahon and told him he was on his own!
Having little support and friends in San Bernardino County, McMahon turned to the one who KNOWS MOST about “law enforcement”….
Supervisor JOSIE GONZALES.
AFTER ALL Josie herself was the SOLE “committee member” who interviewed and had a say so as to who was the MOST QUALIFIED for SBC Sheriff!
(btw, did McMahon forget to plug her name in at KFI!!? oops)

WHILE WE WAIT FOR DORNER… I dug up another “ancient” email of mine from the days when Josie had her gleaming eye on “McMahon 4 Sheriff”

Josie is notorious for causing seizures with her stupidity, and those Mayans would NOT have tolerate that mind numbing “noise” coming out of her mouth.
Had the Mayans been at that BOS meeting, they would NOT have impaled THEMSELVES, or poked THEMSELVES in the eye with a fork…NO!
These Mayan men would have sprung into action immediately…shouting commands at once:

what’s your name, take the right leg,
Ovitt, stop crying, and hold down the left leg
I’ll extract her heart quickly.
If she does not shut up we’ll just have to flay her, decapitate her, hurl her from a precipice, or just be done with her and throw her into a limestone sinkhole!
Always glad to hear those like the mayor discussing how THEIR citizens are armed, who would be under the car first, McMahon,Ramos,Cook, or the mayor when the first shot rang out?

You can bet McMahon WILL PAD the bill, say if the State declares an emergency or something like that.
You can bet someone will pay for that big dinner McMahon and Ramos had after patting themselves on the back after busting a sweat before the camera’s.

WOW everyone is wondering who is this idiot McMahon. Well he is a political hack hand picked by Josie G. Groomed by Hoops and now in a love afair with James Ramos.
Paul Schrader would’ve and can do a better job than this Union College grad.
The best thing he could’ve done would have been to stick to the facts.

Way to get involved, James Ramos. Through hearsay, we learn that you “support” the “effort.” How about having one of your spokesman elaborate.
Better yet, how about going up there yourself and getting involved, or at least getting informed about what’s going on. This is huge deal that’s making news all over the United States, and it’s taking place in your district!
