A Riverside jury convicted a Moreno Valley school board member of 23 felonies charges including pimping and pandering and filing false insurance claims.
Mike Luis Rios, 42, was taken into custody immediately after the verdict was read today inside the Riverside Superior courthouse, said John Hall, public information officer for the Riverside County District Attorney’s office.
Rios used a variety of means to persuade four women and two girls to work as prostitutes for him, officials said.
Rios was originally charged with 35 felonies involving six victims – two who are under-aged girls. But at the end of the trial, shortly before the jury began their deliberations, the judge dismissed nine pandering counts – leaving the defendant with 26 counts, Hall said.

Victoria Baca is not only joined at the hips with Mike Rios, she is a low lying scammer herself! She started out with disrupting MV school board meetings and screaming “racism” and preying on non-English speaking Hispanic families by offering her “assistance” for a fee!
I say hook up councilwoman Victoria Baca to a lie detector and ask her how many times over many years has she taken hundreds, or maybe thousands of dollars promising to perform a “job” or fulfill a “word of mouth” contract, but instead POCKETED THE MONEY and did nothing; I think it’s called “fraud” and Raul Wilson was her accomplice and partner in crime. If it all sounds familiar it’s because they are dear friends with GIL NAVARRO…they play the same “make money by preying on non-English speaking Hispanic families” game.
She can deny this all she wants, but let her deny it voluntarily hooked to that lie detector!
Victoria Baca should have been sitting in that criminal court house right beside Rios as a defendant. Hmm I wonder what the statue of limitations for her is?
