Assemblyman Tim Donnelly plans to introduce a bill that would allow teachers or other school personnel to receive publicly-funded training to carry weapons on campus as a deterrent against future mass shootings.

Donnelly, R-Hesperia, plans to hold a press conference Wednesday morning to announce the bill, which would create what the fiery legislator calls a “School Marshal Plan.”

The bill would allow public school educators to pay for the firearms training necessary for teachers, administrators or janitors to carry weapons on campus.
