Please don’t let San Bernardino County officials know this fact, they might hire the guy.
#1 Too late.
There have been rumors about Gary’s “memory” problems for quite some time.
We SB have been hearing grumbling about a harsh managment sytle in the Riverside PD’s office. I don’t knowthe truth but after 13years it was probably the straw that broke Gary’s back Scalesi’s alcohol problems didn’thelp.
Hopefully, a new leader will bring some relief to that agency
To #1 Let’s hope San Bernardino Officals hear about this and mimick Riverside PD.
Rumor has it San Bernardino is looking at Harmon as we speak.
They need to hire the paralegals who were laid off at the Riverside County Public Defenders Offices in 2010. I Need my job back. Anonymous too!
@5: I heard that rumor too. I also heard they are looking at a former Judge. I think it is time for the BOS to make a decision since the local PD is drifting.
@Rick,
Rumor has it the BOS offered the position to an Attorney in private practice. It came down to money and the attorney wanted more than the county was willing to pay. Who knows. I’m not sure there is anyone out there who wants the job except for the current PD and her cronies. There are quite a few rumors about the back bitting, plotting, and poor treatment of employees by this new administration. But I don’t think anyone cares enough to do anything about it. HR is useless and nobody is willing to come forward. The BOS needs to make a decision alright, and they need to do the right thing.
Regime change please!
I was an employee in that office for one year. 1/2 was progressive and forward thinking, the other half spent their time deriding and looking for ways to get rid of the first half. There are clearly folks in management positions there that should not be there. They have no expereience, law or management, and yet they are calling shots on cases, and how they are done. That office hemmorages employees. 2008-2010 saw a large protion of that office turn over.
I have worked in this business for a long time, Riverside County Public Defender’s Office – The WORST fucking place to work.
@10: While I sympathize with your plight in Riverside, I assure that working under Roth (bi-polar), Boxer (whore) and Ferguson (psychopath)
was far worse. It was like being in a police state.
From your description, it is a good thing the Riverside Board Of Supervisors took him out.
The harder task is finding a COMPETENT replacement.
Most of us just quietly go about our jobs, maligned by the Judges, the DAs, the cops and our clients.I wish the CEO would make a decisionabout our new head. The rumors and uncertainty are destroying our moralae such as it is. Frankly, not much is left after the last ten years. Too much turmoil from the top while we the troops are struggling.Make a decision. Don’t give a Gary Windom.
@10-The San Bernardin County Public Defender’s Office isn’t much better. Adding to Mick’s comment, Morris(tyrant),Gardner (also a whore, in a lot of different ways) and Cannady(heartless bitch), are not much to write home about either. There must be some form of deep rooted dysfunctionality that breeds in the Public Defender’s offices. SB County has some hard working attorney’s, clerical staff and Investigators, but the management chosen to run this organization leaves so much to be desired.
I too worked on the Orwellian farms, what more can a poor boy add to the above without splitting hairs. The only joy is Harmon is a good man, thank god that Doreen wasn’t hired she prohibitted the sheep in the San Berdoo office from discussing her mommy was Barbara Boxer(her trial reocrd, not nepotism and cronyism landed her the gig and one supposes she didn’t wasnt any confusion)
One escotric question: Does any one know if Gary’s breath on a tissue in a sealed vial would be considered a WMD?
