Wednesday, November 7, 2012 – 01:30 p.m.
San Bernardino County Sheriff Rod Hoops has announced he will retire in December, after 34 years of service.
The Board of Supervisors will be tasked with selecting a replacement to fill the remainder of Hoops term, which expires January 2015.
Sources indicate that Assistant Sheriff-Coroner John McMahon is the desired successor.
That’s okay.
Hoops can go-for now.
We have our hands full at the moment anyways, and we are in no hurry.
He is STILL on the MAP that covers our wall…he can disappear, but he can not hide.
Maybe Hoops’ first vacation stop could be Washington D.C., he can take picture’s of Congressman Baca CLEANING OUT HIS DESK and being escorted out by security.
Then he can email the pictures to Erwin, and all the major newspapers so we could all take in the sweetness of those images…we may even get high off of them …a natural high of course!
Maybe Dave Ellis can give us the correct 411 on this.

Nice guy, but San Bernardino County needs BRAWN right now.
Schrader does NOT qualify; he falls WAY short, and as Sheriff that WEAKNESS is DANGEROUS FOR US ALL.
Schrader needs to just step back and be a part of the TEAM- AND STOP TRYING TO SIT HIMSELF AT THE HEAD OF THE TABLE WITHOUT BEING INVITED.
And in all honestly…he is reckless with the company he keeps. His association with his number one cheer leader and promoter, S.Gilbert at IE, has tainted- more like STAINED- his name and credibility.

At least Schrader is willing to be involved with the public. I don’t mind his association with Sharon. Yes, Sharon has had her ups and downs, but she has done an amazing job of exposing corruption in this County and I think she means well.
No more SB County insiders in the sheriff’s top office.
