Apple Valley Town Councilman Rick Roelle seemed to have the wind at his back following his strong showing in the June primary, which propelled him into a November runoff against High-Desert businessman Robert Lovingood.
But, appearances can be deceiving.
Both men are seeking to replace outgoing San Bernardino County First District Supervisor Brad Mitzelfelt.
Roelle, with the backing of county employee union money and dozens of elected officials, along with a good amount of campaign dough, appeared to be the front-runner.
What a difference five months can make.
Lovingood hung in there and capitalized as a wave of anti-union sentiment developed in the district.
Now sources tell InlandPolitics.com that Roelle, who hasn’t possessed a lead in any legitimate campaign polling, isn’t fairing well and will likely lose come November 6th.
LOL…I guess that’s why Lovingood did a hit piece on Roelle using Jim Erwin’s booking photo and newspaper article about his pension.

As mentioned here at the beginning of this year, politics in San Bernardino County are a whole new ball game…a game these foolish men are OBLIVIOUS to and unfamiliar with…
And just goes to show…MONEY has lost it’s influence in SBC.
The Bob Blough Union bullies, Rod Hoops, Mike Ramos, Jim Brulte, Jerry Lewis, Bill Emmerson, Hansberger, etc, etc…are ALL IRRELEVANT now to San Bernardino County politics…as is their money and endorsement.
This blog has taken over the pulse of SBC politics.
Its influence has far surpassed that of all the unions and these political representatives combined.
It would only be polite for the unions and representatives to send Erwin a thank-you card for creating this headquarters; a central communication newsroom where the pulse of San Bernardino County can be felt and checked by all, and kept healthy.

None of the cops I know, or cops they know, voted for Roelle.
Lovingood’s hit piece on Roelle was RIGHT on the money.

Hahaha this is Bull Shit to get the numbers of a poll. Something tells me Roelle will be okay… Also cops voted for Roelle in the primary and he won. Robert Lovingood is nothing more than an arrogant wannabe.
I support Lovingood, but GoLocal (Go Loco?)has a point.
Lovingood needs to shed his ARROGANCE and the “wanna” and just BE himself-OR ELSE HE WILL BE NO BETTER THAN THE FOOL ROELLE.

True..but arrogance, if not recognized, leads to other things.
I know many people who have put their trust, and vote, on Lovingood.

I live in the 3rd District and am working very hard up here for Supervisor Derry. I have many, many friends in the 1st District and have asked them to vote for Lovingood, simply because his opponent is in bed with DA Mikey and the Hoopster. I hope Mr. Lovingood is not of the character (arrogant)described by these bloggers. If so, then he only turns out to be the lesser of two evils. I agree with Anon #9 that hopefully he recognizes this flaw in his character and corrects it if he is that way.
P.S. Mr. Lovingood, you need to fire the one who recommended the color scheme for your large signs….. they are the ugliest I have seen so far this year.

Vote for Lovingood (in the HD), he’s not one of the Devilreaux’s Disciples like Roelle, who stands to be put on a full-ride lifetime medical pension so he could be seated as a Supervisor (’cause it’s a conflict-o-interest to be your own boss in the public sector).
Reminds me a lot of James Ramos’ issues should he be seated in the 3rd District, and wouldn’t you know, they’ve both got the same “handlers”, the appointed Devil of a CEO and the Pimp of a DA, both gainfully employed the by the taxpayers of SBCo.
Too much coincidence here for both of these “handpicked” candidates, so the machine must be relying on the malicious intent of these same public officials to create potential conflict situations; sounds like more LEGAL SERVICES FRAUD… don’t the Feds care about ELECTION RIGGING anymore?
