Larson
Thursday, September 20, 2012 – 11:00 p.m.
Former U.S. District Judge Stephen G. Larsen has been named lawyer of the year by the Western San Bernardino County Bar Association.
Larson is slated to accept the ‘Jennifer Brooks Lawyer of the Year Award’ at the groups annual awards ceremony to be held on October 25, 2012.
The former Judge, who was assigned to the Riverside Division, left the bench in early 2011 to enter private practice.
He currently is a partner with Arent Fox L.P. and practices out of the firms Los Angeles offices .

VERY SWEET! MUCH DESERVED!
Look forward to the the he announces his intention to run for politics. Steven would make a great governor!
I don’t know too much about Mr. Larson, but so far on The Colonies prosecuition he’s destroyed Mike Ramos and his staff every time they have entered a court room.
That make’s him both a great lawyer and a great guy in my book.
A lawyer with a moral compass and a backbone. They must have broke the mold after Larson was cast.
LARSON 4 GOVERNOR
Larson 4 DA?
FINE, DA, WE CAN START THERE, WHERE DO WE SIGN UP TO HELP?
Although, San Bernardino County should not be so selfish and keep him ALL to ourselves!
WE SHOULD SHARE OUR TREASURES WITH ALL OF CALIFORNIA!
Wow, a judge that quit his honorable duties because he wasn’t making enough money…..Next week the Mafia will be handing out awards for the years top wiseguy. please make sure to remind everyone.
Hey red… GFY.
#9….HE HE HE HE
Red,
Please tell me there is an “Anonymous” impersonator on the loose disguising himself as you- “Red” – because I just can not grasp YOU speaking with such JADED NEGATIVITY, and using such language!
And RED, believe it or not, not all people allow their money, power, and influence lead them to dark delusional paths, like James Ramos and Mike Ramos.
There are truly good people, and quite a bundle right here in San Bernardino County who believe in RESPECT, accountability, values, principals, God, and human rights and decency…STEPHEN G. LARSEN IS DEFINITELY ONE.
It’s about time good decent people got attention and recognition, Mr. Larsen is an inspiration to all of us living in San Bernardino County…he is definitely a LOCAL TREASURE to brag about and RESPECT!
Please! The guy was an ok prosecutor and a competent judge, but split to chase the almighty dollar. What has he done as a lawyer in the last few years since leaving the bench? He got run out of his first firm for incompetence per the respected and honorable owner of the firm.
He’s been defending white-collar criminals suspected of malfeasance ever since. Take a look at the members of this bogus lawyer’s group and you will see some familiar names. Go ahead it’s on their website.
A small group consisting of the judges that found in favor of The Colonies are running the organization that are giving Larsen the award. Congratulations Stevie on such a prestigious award!
The award to be presented at Red Hill.
Wasn’t postmus promised help with his political career if he did certain things?
Larsen is NO bum!
#12 is attempting to give the impression Larsen associates with a group of unethical lawyers- NOT TRUE- besides, Larsen’s work, ethics, and honest reputation stand alone.
Thank you RED HILL, for recognizing and honoring one of our rising stars in San Bernardino County.
Thank you Red Hill for honoring the best money can buy.
HA HA HA….and so the truth comes out. The award is nothing more than a Burum stunt intended to put a pretty face on his attorney while they attempt to escape their legal problems. Hypocrisy at its finest.
I know the guy. He is no more ethical that any slime bag lawyer that chases ambulances for a living. He is a hypocrite and knows it. When he left the bench he spoke about how torn he was between chasing the almighty dollar and staying a Fed. Judge. Now he is just a scum bag representing scum bags.
Awesome that the presentation is at Redhill! That speaks volumes. The whole dirty crew are members so they won’t have to venture into unknown territory.
Well, at least the folks at Red Hill CC are not the passed-over losers at Redlands CC. They have been patting themselves for years for running this county into the ground, for their own financial benefit. The stench out of the Redlands Old Guard, with their adulterous champion Mike Ramos, is about to come full circle. They have buried a lot of bodies at Redlands CC, lets see how deep they can bury Mike Ramos! Better be a big pile of crap, to hide the smell.
#16 states, “Awesome that the presentation is at Redhill!”
HOW TRUE…HOW VERY AWESOME INDEED IT IS, OLD CHAP! Hip Hip Hurray for Red Hill!
Unlike the Redlands CC, Red Hill is making a genuine effort to start the ball rolling and revive the SPIRIT OF LIFE in San Bernardino County.
So for that one day, let Red Hill, the locals, the press, and all of SBC recognize Mr. Larsen and let the music play!
Don’t forget former-County Counselor Ruthie Stringer for RETIRED PUBLIC ATTORNEY OF THE YEAR… she still plays Redlands CC on over a $312K/yr pension, $80K/yr SPIKED by CEO Devilreaux!
Ruthie you are still #1 in my book… need a partner? (for golf, silly!)
The event is on October 25th at Embassy Suites in Ontario. Not Redhill C.C.
Some of you posting here need to grow up.
I guess he didn’t rate the Red Hill. Understandable.
Embassy Suites? HA HA HA, What room? Will there be pizza and beer served? What kind of trophy is Larson getting? Is it a framed certificate or does he have to buy his own frame? Is it a statue like an OSCAR? A little statue of a man in a suit with his hand extended to accept cash?
Just about as classy as the Holiday Inn. Must be quite the award.
Repairman:
It’s just as “classy” as the venue in Ontario where a Mike Ramos function was held.
You remember it don’t you; it was the one that James Ramos attended instead of a candidate’s forum?
#23 Anonymous, you have shed your “RED” but your JADED NEGATIVITY is still the same.
Jealousy and envy are very apparent by a select few here…
Envy is, notoriously, one of the seven deadly sins, and is the engine of liberal political parties.
October 25th? Damn, I will not be around, I’ll just have to read about it in the press.
However, perhaps it’s sufficient notice to move the event to RED HILL…
Don’t give it a second thought men…JUST DO IT!
Observer of Facts:
This is larson’s big night, his chance to shine. He couldn’t make cut for Red Hill but I’m sure he’s thrilled about the Embassy suites none the less.
Observer of Facts:
Maybe they all could go over to McDonald’s after the event.
Larson is well thought of by other lawyers. The Bar Association award is totally legit.
Repairman:
Regarding comment #28, how about one of James Ramos restaurants? I hear it’s pretty easy to get a table.
Does “Yum Yum” have a banquet room?
#30 yes, very funny!
Anon#26….or should I say Jim, I’m about as guilty of being jealous of Larson as you are of being jealous of Ramos. Take your pick of which one. Actually, you might really be jealous of James Ramos and that will definitely increase after his November supervisor win.
Oh, and somebody please remind these cheapskate attorneys that little caesar’s has $5.00 pepperoni pizzas that will perfectly complement their Embassy Suites award party.
Red,
I truly envy YOU! Red makes you look FABULOUS- it ages me – now it’s your “charm” you must work on, for a true gentleman would never engage as you’ve been. And, no, I’m not Jim, nor jealous. But as a fair warning to you, Red, if Ramos wins in November, all hell will break loose -literally- out of the reservation and into our neighborhoods-to all districts NOT just the Third!
Observer of Facts:
Yum Yum would be more fitting for this award presentation.
If they did a post on Mother Teresa on this blog, by the time you guys were finished, she would be made out to be a money grabbing, street hooker! You all need to tone down the personal, hate filled comments.
It’s these type of comments is why I never even read IEPolitics any longer. Just a comment.
Rancho business owner:
Nobody’s calling Mother Teresa a republican.
Repairman,
You’re remarks are cute; and thank you for acknowledging our Party as “The Party of God and Family Values”
As Florida Senator Marco Rubio stated, “family is the most important institution in society” and that “almighty God is the source of all we have,”
So as long as Mr. Laren’s family is present for the recognition, and he thanks God for all he has, then it doesn’t really matter if it’s held at Yum Yum’s, Little Cesar’s, or at Red Hill- does it?
Anonymous:
I didn’t know you were a Democrat.
The location doesn’t matter, the award has the same value.
#38…..Or a gentleman’s club for that matter.
Rancho Business Owner…..Mother Theresa underwent a series of exorcisms prior to her death. I’m not making that up, it was in the news.
Larsen is no Mother Teresa, and he is a decent enough person to admit it. Yea, he loves his family and goes to church, he’s well-educated, and seems like a decent enough guy. However, he sold his soul to the Republican machine, Redhill CC, cigar smoking, 2nd Ave. Saloon going crowd, that has run this county into the ground with their corruption of the process.
The boot-lickers that were calling for him to be Gov. or DA brought these negative remarks on with their idol worship of a failed person that was actually once deserving of their adulation. Now, not so much!
Wait a minute, Doesn’t Bill Postmus still call himself a Republican? Is he still allowed to be a member of the party of God? If so does that also include his herum of boy toys.
Regarding Comment # 41:
If Mr. Larson was representing you, and the FBI searched your office, and he caught them lying about where they searched and confronted them on your behalf, would you still consider him a “bum” and a “failed person?”
Observer of Facts:
I’d take him to Yum Yum and give him worlds best lawyer trophy.
Course the F.B.I. said he is wrong.
Repairman:
Wrong again; are you using the same source that claims that Neil Derry was arrested?
Check the facts; the FBI admitted it when confronted, and blamed it on a paperwork mistake.
When they do it, it’s a “mistake.” When you or I do it, it’s a lie.
Observer of Facts :
Your splitting hairs again, derry turned himself in to avoid the embarrassment of public arrest.
As far as the search goes , it’s just a big conspiracy to convict a innocent man, like you always say.
#41
You are partly correct…about the Saloon going crowd that ran this county to the ground with their “corruption process”
But first, please note that Mr. Larson WAS IN NO WAY A PART OF THIS CROWD!
The ONE man who rounded up these YOUNG PLAYBOYS on one hand and enticed the cigar smoking SALOON going crowd on the other, was JIM BRULTE…WHO HAS MYSTERIOUSLY DISAPPEARED FROM HIS THRONE- WHERE HE ONCE REIGNED OVER SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY POLITICS.
IT WAS BRULTE’S HUNGER FOR POWER, MONEY AND INFLUENCE—AT ANY COST—
THAT LED TO A RUIN OF LIVES, CAREERS, CITIES, AND OUR COUNTY.
BRULTE IS NOW A BLUR, A NOTHING TO SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY… AS JERRY LEWIS WILL SOON BE.
ETHICAL AND HONEST NEW LEADERS ARE EMERGING, LIKE MR. LARSON…LET US ALL BE SUPPORTIVE OF HIM, NOT JUVENILE AND ATTACKING HIM UNJUSTLY.
Repairman:
Sorry, I keep forgetting that you don’t like facts getting in the way of speculation and conjecture.
Do you really think that if Mike Ramos had the opportunity to embarrass Neil Derry by arresting him, he would have passed it up?
As to the FBI search of Jeff Burum’s office, I don’t know how it will play out. That remains to be seen. What I do know is that the FBI got caught lying. Darn, more of those annoying facts.
#47…John Gotti’s old lawyer Bruce Cutler is moving to the IE. He wants to be one of those ethical and honest leaders you are talking about.
#43……The problem is that no ethical business person would need to hire an attorney like Larson to defend themselves against such charges of corruption. Now add to that the fact that Burum has a pattern of controversial and un-ethical behavior, Larson then takes on the appearance of a MOB lawyer hired only because of his inside connections to fellow judges and not a lawyer fighting for the oppressed. Appearance should mean everything to him if he is as ethically dynamic as some of the posts on this site claim, then again, he did quite his post as judge so that he could make more MONEY. So what does appearance have to do with anything?
Anonymous #49:
At trial, Jeff Burum and The Colonies were represented by the following firms:
http://www.pillsburylaw.com/
http://www.timkenjohnson.com/
Now, Mr. Burum is being represented by a former federal judge.
Your attempts to characterize Mr. Burums attorneys as “MOB” lawyers seems like sour grapes from a sore loser
OH PLEASE RED!!!
Give me a break! What fool would NOT prefer an attorney, “because of his inside connections to fellow judges; especially if one is WRONGFULLY ACCUSED FOR SELF-SERVING POLITICAL PURPOSES!
A lawyer can very well “fight for the oppressed” with or without “inside connections” – preferably WITH!
“Appearance should mean everything to him” you say? Well, Red, again, we are talking about Mr. Larson here… remember…a professional who is NOT concerned about HIS “appearance” but rather his clients!
Red, you constantly repeat, “he did quite his post as judge so that he could make more MONEY.”
WHAT’S YOUR BEEF WITH THAT (NOT THAT IT’S EVEN TRUE) BUT HE HAS THAT RIGHT…THAT’S THE BEAUTY OF OUR FREE COUNTRY.
I repeat:
Envy is, notoriously, one of the seven deadly sins, and is the engine of liberal political parties.
p.s.
Welcome to the IE Mr. Bruce Cutler, and BTW, don’t mind RED- he just hates ALL lawyers, including St. Thomas More (Patron of Lawyers).
Put your “ENVY” to rest RED, it’s draining you-relax.
Anyone fighting the corrupt San Bernardino political machine is my friend.
Red Annon:
You never know Larson may not be as happy about his job now as he was at the start.
This award , talk about political office, and the first 7 comments(butt kisses) could be a way of keeping that carrot in front of his face and keep him working. Some judges and attorneys could be looking at him like a mob attorney now, and he may not like it, it might be ruining his reputation.
Repairman…WRONG…you can try again…but why would you put so much effort into wanting to bring a good man down?
So much talk about the man, now I WANT TO KNOW MORE ABOUT HIM, MAYBE ALL OF SAN BERNRDINO COUNTY WANTS TO KNOW MORE!
**** REGARDING THE FIRST SEVEN COMMENTS…
It’s not the man himself that we are putting on a “pedestal” but rather all that he firmly stands and reflects proudly(AND WE LACK) …justice, decency, discernment, honesty, ethics, integrity, respect, etc., etc., etc.,
Mr. Larson is to be admired, and it’s not the “carrot” that gives him the incentive to carry that load—lend him a hand Repairman DON’T TRY TO KNOCK HIM DOWN!
Anonymous:
It’s too bad you lack “justice, decency, discernment, honesty, ethics, integrity, respect, etc., etc., etc.,” you should work on it.
Anonymous:
And to be honest with you , your complete and total lack “justice, decency, discernment, honesty, ethics, integrity, respect, etc., etc., etc.,” would make your opinion worth nothing, and your support for him suspect.
ah, but Repairman, “I” do recognize my weaknesses…and strive to be a better person…does that not that count for something!
NOTHING SUSPECT HERE, YOU CAN TRUST ME!
Anonymous:
I’m sure your momma vary proud that your trying so hard to be a decent and honest person , good for you, good luck with that.
But Whenever anyone say’s they can be trusted, you better watch out because usually they can’t. People that can be trusted, don’t need to say it.
Repairman, if you knew me personally- I would not need to SAY IT.
And yet you did.
OOF…..Sour grapes? I’m not the one throwing him a party at Embassy suites instead of, say, The Magic Lamp. Now that’s sour grapes. Or is that only reserved for elected crooks?
Anon#51………..it was stated in Larson’s BIO that he left the bench to make more money. He couldn’t live off of $175,000. a year.
Repairman……Burum and Erwin are good at holding carrots in front of people. They are also good at hiring PI s to go through peoples garbage.
Anonymous # 61:
Yes, sour grapes.
You are criticizing the attorneys who successfully represented Mr. Burum in court, first as a Plaintiff when he fought back against the county, and then as a Defendant when the DA launched his retaliatory prosecution. And what relevance is the location of an event honoring one of these attorneys?
Also, other than the prosecutions unproven allegations, what is your source that investigators affiliated with Jeff Burum and Jim Erwin inspected “peoples garbage?” This may be another allegation thrown in to the prosecution to sensationalize the charges. And even if it’s true, let’s ask Mike Ramos’s very own investigators if they have ever done so in the past. I suspect that the answer would be yes.
Maybe Larson’s getting a good taste of that now.
Anonymous #61:
What “BIO” of Mr. Larson states that “he left the bench to make more money?” Where does he state that “he couldn’t live off $175,000 a year?”
And even if this is true, it’s not exactly unprecedented conduct. Did you ever leave one job for another job with higher compensation?
Repairman- yes I did “SAY” it.
I couldn’t simply meet you and introduce myself so you could “SEE” for yourself how trustworthy I am.
If I did that, you would not both to burn me at the stake- as you do with Mr. Larson and others, you would viciously just tear me apart limb from limb and eat me alive!
(Speaking of “digging through trash…DA Mike Ramos recruited Jane Un for that job..I believe she was caught and admitted it to many!)
…it’s “you would not BOTHER”…sorry
Anonymous #65:
Your true self is coming out and lying again. I haven’t said anything bad about Larson. I just think it’s funny that the people giving him the award think he’s a cheap enough date to do it at the embassy suites especially since it’s been held at Red Hill in the past. Must make Larson feel vary important and appreciated, and let’s him know what he’s worth.
Repairman, excellent point.
OFF…..your feathers are ruffled.
OOf….You can talk all day long about unproven allegations, but if I see a person denying that they are a drug addict yet they exhibit all the signs of being one then what am I to conclude? Now if you think my comparing Burum to an addict is a bit much, understand that I do so to drive home the point that his unsavory patterns of manipulation are a danger to tax payers. He does not just have one ethically questionable incident, but a string, a pattern, going back prior to the colonies. If you don’t have sour grapes about having developers and corrupt politicians pick pocket you then you must also not have sour grapes about being attacked on 9-11 because the only ones who do not taste the sourness are the terrorist and their kin the pick pockets.
As to locations of awards, I concur with Repairman and find it funny that they are not having the event at Red Hill. Is it because he’s Jewish? Is Red Hill one of those types of clubs? I’m just asking.
As to Larson’s BIO, the papers ran it and this site repeated it like it was their own news story. As to Larson’s leaving for more money, it is his right, but this in itself raises questions about his true motives and ethics. How would you feel if you had an employee that you entrusted with your most important company secrets and connections, leave your employment to go work for your competitor? While corporations go through all kinds of contracts to avoid this, when it does happen there really is no guarantee that the former employee isn’t manipulating inside knowledge of your company in an effort to forward the agenda of his new employer. Larson if no doubt doing this only his former employer US are making very little noise about it. So you go ahead and give him his award, it’s about as honorable as a $3 dollar bill and couldn’t be given in more fitting surroundings than an overnight inn outside of an airport.
#70- Don’t forget that when he left the bench he has worked for two firms now, that he found in favor for while on the bench. Payola?
#61: Hey Scumbag. Did you know Mr Larson has a family of like 6 or 7 kids? A 175 salary wont go far with that many mouths to feed, clothe, educate etc.
But then you are nothing but a slimeball piece of worthless shit; a non entity as a human being so you wouldnt know anything about things like values. You are just a piece of human flotsam that should have been kicked off this board. You bring nothing to the table. Drop dead, no one will miss you.
#72……Ha Ha Ha, ya I knew Larson had 7 kids. Sounds like he should have bought a TV early on. What’s more amusing is that if Larson was a latino you and the rest of this blog would be hating on him right now. We should start calling him Larsonez.
As to the slimeball stuff, all I can tell you is that I have never been under FBI investigation or been charged with conspiracy, bribery, and the rest. I have never paid a PI to go through someone else’s garbage or manipulated and corrupted public officials for personal gain. I am sorry to hear that you view the things I just mentioned as valuable, but then that would explain why the county is in such bad shape and why it is a laughing stock. So you are right, if your table is the corruption that developers have fostered and money hungry men like Larsonez defend then I do not bring anything to the table nor would I ever want to.
#71……That’s the kind of conflict of interest that I’m talking about. So much bad goes on around us that never gets mentioned and yet has so much bearing on our lives. Will there be a q&a at this Larson award ceremony? He should be asked about stuff like this. Payola is definitely the right word. Or is that what he is being awarded for, The payola of the year award.
#71……That’s the kind of conflict of interest that I’m talking about. So much bad goes on around us that never gets mentioned and yet has so much bearing on our lives. Anonymous #70:
Check my previous comments; I have never once defended Bill Postmus. I think he was a disgrace and had no business serving as the Assessor or County Supervisor. People recognized it and he was removed from office; let’s move on.
Instead, DA Mike Ramos is utilizing him in his plot to retaliate against The Colonies for successfully fighting back against the county. The “most appalling corruption case in decades, certainly in the history of San Bernardino County and maybe California itself”
are the “unproven allegations” I am referring to.
I find it interesting that Bill Postmus was the one defendant that Mike Ramos had a reasonable chance to convict, and he let him off the hook to attempt to get Jeff Burum. How’s that working out?
And how much has The Colonies prosecution cost the taxpayers? At some point Mike Ramos is going to have to tell us. I continue to look forward to that day.
Observer of Facts:
From what I see this thing is far from over, and could actually end up being the “most appalling corruption case in decades, certainly in the history of San Bernardino County and maybe California itself”. The money it cost could turn out to be a good investment exposing and ending the corruption in the county, and sending a strong message to those who would try to corrupt again. Let’s hope so.
Repairman:
Other than what you read in the local media, have you been paying attention to what’s been going on as this prosecution has evolved?
For example: $10 Million bail reduced to $0, bribery charges dismissed, the FBI caught lying, and the defense forced to file a motion with the court to get the prosecution to produce unaltered evidence.
The “strong message” that has been sent to me so far is is follows:
1) Defiant bureaucrats (Jon Mikels) can gamble with taxpayer money with total impunity.
2) Corrupt District Attorneys (Mike Ramos) can use taxpayer money to attack their political enemies.
3) Egotistical bureaucrats (Jerry Brown and Mike Ramos) can showboat at press conferences, and announce unproven allegations as though they are facts.
Observer of Facts:
I’ve seen you write how the D.A. of SBC is corrupt, how the Governor of california is corrupt, how the state attorney general is corrupt, how the FBI are corrupt lyres all to convict an innocent man . I don’t buy it. But we’ll see.
Repairman:
I have never said that Jerry Brown, Kamala Harris, or the FBI is corrupt.
I believe that Jerry Brown had no insight whatsoever into the facts when The Colonies prosecution was launched, and believed everything Mike Ramos said, and wanted to take advantage of the press conference to grandstand in Southern California. That may be ineptitude and politics as usual, but not corruption.
Likewise, I believe that Kamala Harris had no insight into the facts, and got invloved as a favor to Mike Ramos, and believed everything Mike Ramos said. That may be cronyism, but not corruption.
The FBI got caught lying about the offices they searched at Jeff Burum’s building. This is a fact. They tried to explain it away as a paperwork mistake. I do not believe that this was a corrupt act, but it exemplifies their heavy handed approach and disinclination to admit they were wrong.
As to DA Mike Ramos, I absolutely believe that he is corrupt, and have said it on the record many times.
OOF….My comment at #70 was not in reference to Postmus, perhaps the the addiction part threw you? I was likening Burum’s patterns of a lack of business ethics to a person with a drug addiction in that clear life patterns are evident for all to see.
BTW…Brown and Harris are not bureaucrats, they are elected officials. As politicians, I hardly think that they would blindly jump into investigations and prosecutions without first investigating the validity. Too much is on the line politically for them and they are astute enough to have avoided careless mistakes such as the ones you propose. However, it is more likely that with such a lack of government and legal oversight, such as exists in San Bernardino county, that the elites such as wealthy developers, politicians and judges, would all cooperate with each other for the sake of monetary gain. This would not be unheard of especially given the counties past.
Hey guys, why did you take my freedom of comment away again? I’ve been behaving myself. If anything, I would think that you wanted a little discention here. After all, your comments on this subject are already in the 80s regarding such a non issue as an award ceremony. Who else is going to do that for you, Observer of facts?
Your posting restriction is lifted.
Red,
How can you say Mr. Larson is a “non issue”? HE IS ONE OF OUR FUTURE LEADERS…NO IT’S NOT A QUESTION!
We are in the process of establishing new leaders here for San Bernardino County…leaders who will not become a BLUR on account of their selfish ambitions, corruption, and their abuse and manipulation of our laws and policies for the sole purpose of their politically driven ills…as Jerry Lewis and Jim Brulte have done…making them BOTH a DISTANT BLUR, as they leave US to pick up the pieces.
They can pay for publicity and prance around town like Tony Soprano all they want, but San Bernardino County has changed, AND THEIR “PUBLIC SERVICE” is NO LONGER NEEDED OR WANTED IN SBC.
There are new faces rising to the top…
HEY BRULTE…IF YOU DON’T BELIEVE ME…TAKE A “SURVEY”–LOL!
Oh good, Red’s “time out” is over- he can come out and play.
Did I say good?
We’ll have to wait and see.
Anonymous #81:
Have you ever been in a business relationship with Jeff Burum? If not, what is the source of your comment about “patterns of a lack of business ethics?”
Regarding your comment that Jerry Brown and Kamala Harris would not “blindly jump into investigations and prosecutions without first investigating the validity,” can you cite a single fact that suggests that they did so in The Colonies bribery prosecution or the Neil Derry felony prosecution?
My belief is that they based those prosecutions 100% on what Mike Ramos told them. If you have evidence to the contrary, I would like to here about it.
Administrator…………Thanks
Anon#84…….What makes you think Larson is going to stay here when he couldn’t even stay on the bench? Larson is going to go to the highest bidder and if the county is as broke as is suggested then I doubt any community here will hold his interest. This raises another question, why would you even consider Larson for any public service when he couldn’t make good on his original judicial post? The problems we find ourselves in today are on account of a lack of vetting officials and our allowance of letting all these city and county positions become partisan. We need to stop electing people based on whether they wear a flag lapel pen and wave a flag and start looking at peoples background, patterns, and record.
OOF…..Burum is a person that has gotten filthy rich off the shoulders of tax payers. If tax payers were kept abreast in real time, that is project by project,of the way Gary Miller funneled affordable housing money to the area that always seemed to go to one of Burums nonprofits and be mindful that this goes back before the colonies was ever built or even the resale of the county building on Haven that Burum used a methed out Postmus to facilitate, both the congressman and Burum would have been tarred and feathered. Now some of you might think that his methods are cute and ingenious, but I guarentee that there are thousands of Burums across the country all doing the same thing and all draining the very spirit and conscience of this country. There will be no recovery for this area or country until the people who claim to be God fearing Republicans cease this hypocritical nature and start calling to account all these crooks that they have been harboring within their party.
OOF…..BTW, there are no facts showing that they didn’t investigate the cases. However, Derry did plead guilty and the FBI did come to town. The fact that so many outside agencies are investigating the same thing is cause for concern, what’s more troubling is that the whole case landed in the lap of a local judge and who knows what his true motivations are. I guess we’ll learn more in October, but considering that they are already handing out awards it may not be any thing I agree with.
Red,
We’re “vetting officials” right here, this is their first stop, some their second- we are open to give second chances here, and it’s good you’re off restriction because TIME FOR SBC IS RUNNING OUT!
I may not agree with you, and you get a little crazy with your accusations, BUT IN THE END, SOON, if things don’t take a turn, and hell breaks loose, at least you and I and those on this blog can’t say we didn’t try to warn others.
BACK TO MR. LARSON:
Larson got our attention…WE WANT HIM. It may still be a little too early for him to take the dive, he needs to wait just a little longer- HE’LL FIGURE THAT OUT HIMSELF; but now he(vaguely)knows what’s expected of him.
BTW, PLEASE STOP YOUR NONSENSE ABOUT HIM LEAVING THE BENCH, IT’S HIS RIGHT TO SEEK EMPLOYMENT WHEREVER HE WISHES…LETS’ MOVE THIS ALONG SHALL WE?
#78 OOF knows what he speaks of!
Rumor has it, he is seriously considering running for DA!
#92
Warning to District Attorney Mike Ramos then…
“DON’T EVEN THINK ABOUT PLOTTING AGAINST MR. LARSON”
THINGS ARE VERY DIFFERENT NOW- AND YOU ARE ON THIN ICE- DON’T PUSH YOUR LUCK BUDDY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
MR. HOOPS…WE HOPE TO SEE YOU ON BOARD WITH MR. LARSON.
Why?
How?
When?
