The most interesting race to come is shaping up to be in the 8th Congressional District.

Tea Party favorite Greg Imus will face against Assemblyman Paul Cook (R-Yucca Valley).

Imus and Cook bested heavily funded Phil Liberatore (R-Whittier), who racked up close to $1 million in campaign debt to himself.

This race has to have Cook somewhat concerned due to the conservative Tea Party backing of Imus, who has been running a year’s long grass roots campaign.

Another casualty to Tuesday’s primary is County Supervisor Brad Mitzelfelt, who put all his political chips on going to congress, rather than remaining on the San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors.
