Riverside County Presiding Judge Sherrill Ellsworth has been named a voting member of the California Judicial Council, the administrative policy-making body for the state’s courts.

It is chaired by Chief Justice Tani G. Cantil-Sakauye, who announced Ellsworth’s appointment on Monday June 4.

Ellsworth’s three-year term begins Sept. 15. In addition to her newly announced council membership, Ellsworth has several roles with the council.
