Yes, it’s election season indeed!
This time the stupid award goes to Third District Supervisor Candidate and Former San Manuel Band of Mission Indians Chairman James Ramos.
At about 11: 35 a.m. this morning, Ramos was caught red-handed by a Sheriff’s Deputy pulling down a 4′ x 8′ foot campaign sign of 8th Congressional Candidate Ryan McEachron (R-Victorville).
The sign in question, located at the corner of Victoria Avenue and Fifth Street in the city of Highland, was placed adjacent to a Ramos campaign sign.
The Deputy ordered Ramos to discontinue his actions.
It’s not known if Ramos was cited with the misdemeanor offense.

People are wondering if it’s Ramos, a lifelong democrat, who’s pulling down campaign signs of his opponent Neil Derry.
Derry is also a republican.
UPDATE: The Sheriff’s Department is reporting the Deputy involved in this incident observed Ramos trying to put “his” sign back up and stopped to help him. If true the Deputy would be in violation of county and department policy for engaging in political activity while being paid.
What’s interesting here is both Ramos signs and those of Ryan McEachron and Paul Cook on the north and south side of the intersection were up yesterday evening.
Now one has to ask just how far the sheriff’s department is going in supporting Ramos?
The commanders of both the Sheriff’s Highland and Central stations have each publicly endorsed Ramos using their official titles.
The problem here is no one ever thought this exchange would be witnessed.
Ramos himself was caught pulling down campaign signs at 11:30AM!!

Ramos has a Facebook post stating that the deputy is his “friend”. So, the story is factual.
I have never met James Ramos, but have heard that he is:
A) Not particularly intelligent; and
B) Very defiant.
If this story is accurate, both attributes seem to be well founded.
Yeah, sure…that poor deputy got a call from Hoops, telling him he has five seconds to become Ramos’ best friend -BFF- or else!!
James Ramos pays Hoops hefty for this type of protection.
Look at Hoops’ political contributions…hundreds of thousands from James Ramos, another hundreds of thousands from Teresa Ramos, more hundreds of thousands from San Manuel Bandido of Mission Indians…can we figure out more ways to launder that money?

First, if this update is true, how can a Deputy first catch a guy red-handed and then change his story to “observed Ramos trying to put his sign back up”. No wonder the Sheriff’s Dept has a bad rep with the public.
Secondly, do you really think big bad Ramos needed “help” to put up a 4′ x 4′ sign ??? A twelve year old could do this without the assistance of the Sheriff’s Dept.
Thirdly, with his own admission, this Deputy needs to be reprimanded for his political activity on the Taxpayers dime. Don’t hold your breath …….. Never gonna happen.
This week end, I went around the Big Bear Valley checking on the 4×8 signs that I put up for Neil Derry. Much to my “surprise”, there were (5) signs that were ripped down from the T-Poles. Maybe I should file a report with the Sheriff’s dept …… never mind. Waste of time.
C’Mon James – get a clue. You are NOT qualified to run for this office. When you lose this election, and you will lose, go back to your place as Tribal Chairman of your people. And please, take back your vote regarding your support to get paid for board meetings that you do NOT attend for the College Board. Before we all go making conclusions, please look up the source of the pictures! As for me, I smell a RAT… and that would be Mr. Derry, gasping for his last breaths of air and holding on to his last days of his politcal carreer! NEIL DERRY IS DESPERATE and is STALKING Mr. Ramos to find anything that will swing voters. But we can all see through his DIRTY AND DESPERATE TACTICS! An unusual encounter between San Bernardino County Supervisor Neil Derry and opponent James Ramos on Wednesday, May 30 prompted another round of accusations against each other in the bitterly-contested race.
In an email, Derry’s campaign consultant Chris Jones notified reporters that Ramos was “caught by a sheriff’s deputy tearing down (a) campaign sign” that morning.
But a sheriff’s department spokeswoman and Ramos say that’s not what happened.
It began around 11:30 a.m. in Highland at the corner of Fifth Street and Victoria Avenue where Ramos said he stopped by to fix one of his own signs that had fallen down. A sheriff’s deputy that he is acquainted with noticed him and stopped by to say hello, Ramos said. The two even took a picture together that Ramos later posted to his Facebook page.
Sheriff’s spokeswoman Jodi Miller confirmed that version of events, saying the deputy just stopped to ask “if everything was OK and wanted to say hi.”
As Ramos and the deputy were standing in front of the fence where the sign was posted, Ramos said he noticed a vehicle driven by Derry stop by and take a U-turn with Derry taking pictures of Ramos with the deputy.
Those photos of Ramos later showed up on a blog run by Jim Erwin, Derry’s former chief of staff, with an article claiming Ramos was “caught red-handed” taking down a campaign sign for Ryan McEachron, a candidate for the 8th Congressional District.
Derry said he was driving by and saw what he described as Ramos “getting lectured by a sheriff’s deputy” although he acknowledged he did not hear the conversation. Still, he stuck to his version of events and dismissed Ramos and the sheriff’s department’s account of what happened.
“That’s not the conversation I saw,” Derry said.
Ramos said he’s surprised the Derry campaign has made an issue of it.
“They see me talking to a friend of mine, who happens to be a deputy, now they say I was cited,” Ramos said. “They’re just grasping at straws.”

Well, I thought I did, #1 post is mine. But to clarify things for him, I’ll walk him through my “critical” thinking process as I analyzed the article.
I first observed the time of day, 11:35am. Then I reflected on the day of the week we were in today, which was NOT a weekend or holiday, it was Wednesday, a working day. Next, I calculated that it was not quite 12noon; 11:35am was 25 minutes til lunch break–FINE, BUT then I reasoned that Ramos could not possibly be on an EARLY lunch break……A LUNCH BREAK FROM WHAT?WHERE? I QUICKLY pondered if there may be some funny business going on, which led me to turn my attention to his shady behavior in those pictures, and asked myself, what was Ramos attempting to toss into the back of his truck? PLIERS? My next question was, why is Ramos’ sign still up when it is at the corner where it gets the strongest gusts of wind and damage, while McEachron’s was half torn off as Ramos was caught red-handed by the deputy? I then concluded that the article accurately reflected everything we have been observing about Ramos all along….that…

Now, Mr. TruthSeeker, tell me, how was I a bully in my assessment? In fact, the reality of James Ramos’ is a very serious and dangerous one, but today he showed us, again, his “lack of thinking capacity” side. A much needed break from the dark ugly truth of Ramos; his Mexican mafia ties, his history of disrespecting our laws and regulations, his willingness to provide a safe haven to the mafia within the reservation for profit, how our law enforcement is unable to enforce the laws on the reservations regardless of DRUG TRAFFICKING, or turf murders, and if elected, he can pass policies and regulations he himself can legally avoid and ignore because he lives on the reservation…not in our communities!

Maybe Ramos forgot he has to follow the law (and Repairman is still doing damage control).
And the Deputy supposedly “helping”, if his excuse isn’t enforcement, he’s got no excuse.

First was Super “WalMart” Mario, the “housing and labor (thought you were SBPEA Director though?) community activist” and Redlands City employee inviting his personal friend James to the Community Center to campaign. That’s not really behavior becoming of a public official in the Housing Authority, now is it Super Mario…? Now Neil’s caught another public employee playing politics in the workplace… can you say bye-bye to the SBSD, especially with SEBA and nearly all of the other “public safety” people endorsing Ramos. Maybe the Deputy can use the excuse to Hoops, “Boss he’s already paid his dues right, with all that dough coming our way for public safety… c’mon Rod, why are you looking at me like that?”

After reading the press enterprise, I’m convinced that Derry and the people running this blog are the gang that couldn’t shoot straight. You all realize that after Derry looses the election non of you will ever be taken seriously again?……What’s especially interesting is the reckless driving displayed by Derry. He pulled a u-turn while snapping pictures of Ramos? He didn’t have a driver, he was the driver. Where is the consideration for public safety that one would expect a supervisor to demonstrate?
