No one has ever said State Senator Bob Dutton (R-Rancho Cucamonga) was the sharpest stick in the pile.
Dutton, who is running in the 31st Congressional District, has taken alot of heat for his endorsement of Former San Manuel Band of Mission Indians Tribal Chairman James Ramos, a Democrat, over Third District Supervisor Neil Derry, a republican.
Ramos has mounted a year’s long campaign to try and unseat Derry.
First, Ramos endorsed Mayor Pete Aguilar (R-Redlands), who is also seeking the same seat as Dutton.
Well, now the San Manuel’s have went and donated $75,000 to a super-PAC supporting Aguilar.
Now that’s gratitude for you.
Can you say burned?
Dutton, who has been grossly outspent by Congressman Gary Miller (R-Diamond Bar), could have used that kind of support. Even though it likely wouldn’t help Dutton, or prevent Miller, from advancing.
Nevertheless, Dutton should have expected something like this happening.
So much for his (Dutton) wife supposedly being Ramos’ cousin.

Dutton must have receieved campaign money from the Indians. In fact, that is the only reason Ramos has all those endorsements. He is arm twisting all the politicos that have receieved contributions from the tribes.

Politics make strange relationships. Democrats supporting Republicans. Republicans supporting Democrats. Locally the NRA supports Joe Baca. I guess that makes the NRA endorsement of Miller questionable or is Miller and Baca both bought by the NRA ? Emerson was endorsed by the NRA, yet he just voted for an anti-hunter bill. Catholics are Pro-Life, yet vote for Pro-Choice Democrats. And on and on…..Lines are crossed all the time. Endorsements change and are pulled all the time. If Miller is laughing his a$$ off right now, maybe REVOLVIS will post the clip on YouTube and it can be turned into another hilarious video. I could care less about Ramos, he is of no importance to me, but I do see a Dutton-Aguilar race in the General.
OR, Dutton endorsed James Ramos, so Dutton could stay on the GOOD side of Mike Ramos and Rod Hoops?

Sounds like you guys are on the wrong side of the law….. you better stay anonymous….. Personally, I have never met Mike Ramos and Rod appears to be the “Sheriff”. I am sure he puts up with a lot of crap and I am sure he makes mistakes like all of us do. We all have “friends”, me included. Growing up, we have all been on “Teams” and thought that the other team had an advantage because they had the bigger or faster guy, the sun was in our eyes, they cheated, the officials made a bad call, etc,etc…. GROW UP, SHUT UP & PLAY BALL ! Quit complaining because your “Team” is losing…….
Irwin you can not have it both ways. Dutton supports Ramos because he needs his money and when he donates to fellow Democrats, the money argument falls pn his face. Dutton did not support your fellow convict friend because he was in bed with too many other Union thugs and corrupt developers.
And who exactly is giving Dutton a hard time for endorsing Ramos? This blog does not count since it is full of racists who just keep hoping their one and only candidate Derry some how pulls a miracle.
I keep reading about these so called polls showing Miller and Derry winning, but no one shows evidence.
I know it is thearputic for you to blog before you go to jail, but being dishonest with your own audience here will not win you many friends. Derry is the only friend you have only because he is too cocky and stupid to realize he is associating with fools.
I don’t know you Jim so I won’t pass judgement. I have met Paul Biane & Dan Richards before and I don’t know what happened @ the Colonies, so I cannot say what will may happen. I have never met Mike Ramos, so I don’t know if he is right or wrong on this either. Time will tell. But I do know that Jeff Burum has donated heavily to Gary Miller. Why would that be ??? If this Colonies mess turns bad for Burum it might even implicate Miller to some extent. If it goes against Mike Ramos, his aspirations of becoming the State Atty. General may be over…. Let’s see how this plays out…. I will not judge until it is over !
Who’s “team is losing?” Dutton is going to get trounced in this election. He can’t raise money (never has been successful at it.) He has zero volunteer base and has managed in a few moves of vitriol, to alienate much of his base by endorsing liberal Democrats for local office over incumbent Republicans. The Tea Party, a natural part of his base, has abandoned him because of it.
On top of that, his move to support James Ramos now backfires as the San Manuel tribe is supporting their natural Democrat constituency by donating to Aguilar against Dutton! Bob Dutton just didn’t think this one out. Unfortunate.
Bob Dutton’s LOCAL volunteer base is the largest around. Mr. Miller’s volunteers are mostly from his old LA/OC district or out of the district. Remember, most of us are from the same side. we just got split up with these recent races. There is some crossing of parties with the non-partisan positions (ie:Supervisors)but we really need to stick together as a whole. Josie Gonzales has been outcast by the Dems. for her associations with the GOP. It is not always crystal clear, but we need to stay together as Conservatives.Again,the best example of crossover is the NRA’s endorsement of Joe Baca. Take the high road, and talk more about what your Candidate can do better or has done in the past. Look at the facts and quit your mudslinging. Your hands always get dirty doing that ! God Bless

Perhaps, but so far it is going very “bad” for Mike Ramos. Here is what has happened since the grandstanding press conference:
1)The $10 million bail has been reduced to $0.
2)All the bribery charges against Mr. Burum have been dismissed.
3)Bill Postmus has agreed to testify truthfully, and then told the FBI that he was not bribed.
4)Mike Ramos is insulting the intelligence of the taxpayers and refusing to disclose how much money he has spent on the prosecution.
I am a 5th generation San Bernardino County resident, but if Mike Ramos becomes Attorney General, I am moving out of California.
I love that Zeke said to stop the mudslinging and talk about “what your candidate can do better,” after implying Miller “might” be implicated and implying that Miller’s volunteer’s are not from the area. Talk about slinging mud. Where in your comment, or any of your comments on this story, did you talk about what Dutton could do better? All I see is mudslinging of Miller.

it’s not easy knocking on strangers doors, and he is perhaps a “volunteer” going door to door on his “own time frame” who goes to college and works, and today was his only day off.
You do not have to vote for Miller, but you’re making a big deal of this young man volunteering for him.
In fact, that young man’s enthusiasm has now made me give Miller a closer look, thank you.
Observer…you may be correct & you may be leaving Calif too. Mike Ramos is now working with Gov. Brown on various items. I don’t support it, but we will have a vote. The Colonies issue is still to be decided. It will be interesting….It could make or break Mike Ramos !

All of this is available on-line. NOT assumed or fabricated. The Burum(Colonies) contribution & the IRS/FBI issue is easy to research & find. I still think Miller is not a bad guy, just not our CD31 guy !
Senator Dutton has brought jobs here to the IE. He eliminated the City Utility tax in Rancho. He became the State GOP Leader for a reason ! Why would the Daily Bulletin & SB Sun (owned by LA Newspaper Group) endorse him ? You cannot buy those endorsements.

James Ramos is running into a wall. It is called the truth. Voters in the 3rd District will not be represented (or Ruled in James Ramos’ case) by a man that does not follow the same laws they do. They will not live by edicts of a Sovereign King! This isn’t the 1500′s where the Sovereign (tribal chairman) can establish his rules without having to live by them!
We are Nation of Laws, not a nation of castes which Ramos now wishes to impose! Those with a Casino that are raping our people should be disrobed of their false pretenses, and ignored for their false humanity. Elect a human who earns a living, not a Casino Boss who never has!
