VICTORVILLE • Robert Lovingood, president of ICR Staffing Services in Victorville, announced Wednesday he’s in the race for San Bernardino County 1st District Supervisor.
Lovingood is running as a “non-politician” who wants to help businesses overcome roadblocks created by government. The Apple Valley resident, who’s been active in a number of local nonprofits, has run his Victorville-based staffing firm for 23 years and said his focus will be on creating jobs.
Seven other candidates are in the 1st District race:
• Russ Blewett, Hesperia mayor;
• Bret Henry, San Bernardino County Fire captain;
• Michael Orme, field representative for U.S. Rep. Howard P. “Buck” McKeon;
• Rick Roelle, Apple Valley councilman;

What a joke! Any guy in office is better than this clown… If you can check out his record, you’d find some surprising things.
I don’t feel Robert Lovingood is right for this position. It appears to me from my professional dealings with him that he can’t even run the business he has properly. Maybe, he should stick with ICR, until he runs it in a businesslike and dignified way, then he can consider running for a public office.
I’d like to know what the two previous posters are referring to. These are obviously political “hit pieces”, and don’t refer to the man I know.
I’ve known Robert and his family for about 10 years and I can personally attest to his integrity as an individual, as a father, as a husband and as a businessman. He is solid, wholesome, and definitely an Inland Empire guy. He is also a man with great vision and an active and pro-active mind. Further, Robert did not solicit me to write this, I found this while checking out his campaign on line, and chose to respond on my own because of the specious nature of Tracy and Linda’s attacks.
Good Luck Robert and Melanie.
