You gotta love it!
San Bernardino County has announced the location of its always much anticipated State of the County event to be held in February 2012.
Just kidding about the event being “much anticipated”.
This time the soiree is to be held at the Million Air Terminal located at San Bernardino International Airport.
Yes, attendees will be able to listen to Chairwoman Josie Gonzales drone on about paralyzed county government, while be accompanied by music from that expensive baby grand piano situated in the lobby.
Maybe this year the event can honor all the Airport Authority and Inland Valley Development Agency board members, past and present, who helped blow $200 million, while simultaneously running the place into the ground.
Will anything ever change?

I just love it when Josie blows kisses to those in attendance.
The event should be held at Folsom Prison with the ringleaders Ovitt the Enabler, Scumbag Millionaire CEO and LaRaza as permanennt guests. Oh, and we cant forget the Whoremonger over at HR.
Josie is a bonehead.
On top of the obvious symbolic wrongness about this event being, ironically held there, there are too many other things wrong with this: 1. Why, as a tax paying citizen, would I need to pay out 50 bones to hear my government report back to me the state of the county? They should be doing that for free. It’s called accountability. 2. Given the current and historic nature of the train wreck that is our county government, why in the world would anyone feel in a mood to bring confetti to this event? Is there anything at all to feel celebratory about? This is silliness and is indicative of the cluelessness exhibited too often in our county. Who’s idea was this?
There are few symbols more representative of the abject corruption in San Bernardino County government than the San Bernardino Airport it represents dubious hiring practices, no bid contracts, FBI investigations, extremely bad management, unbelievable budgeting nonsense, and could not be a more obvious reflection of exactly what’s wrong with our county. The fact that they keep deciding to hold the State of the County events there, and even charging citizens to attend speaks massive volumes!
For benefit of the confetti statement:

Aaron – I enjoy your writings. There is a young buck here in the Badlands of Upland named Mark Creighton. He is full of life and a Charger fan. Are you related?
Pay $50 bucks to hear people like Josie”Edith Bunker”Gonzales and her clones speak. LOL!!!!
They should pay us $50 bucks to attend.
Gee….. I surely hope the presentation doesn’t get drowned out by all that constant jet noise…….
