You gotta love it!

San Bernardino City elections are always filled with cloak and dagger episodes.

Last Wednesdays was a beauty.

The call for an investigation of the city attorney so it’ll make the Thursday newspaper play.

A classic maneuver to try and help a foundering campaign.

This time it’s the campaign of David McKenna.

McKenna, who is opposing incumbent city attorney Jim Penman, is having trouble with the carpetbagger tag, as well as having not registered to vote for the past five years he lived in Riverside.

McKenna is receiving help from Mayor Pat Morris’ weakening contingent on the San Bernardino City Council.

That contingent being Fred Shorett, Virginia Marquez, and Rikke Van Johnson.

Interestingly, Tobin “I might be in trouble” Brinker was mysteriously absent from the summon the Feds press conference led by Councilman Fred Shorett.

Both local papers, who are as gullible as ever, took the bait hook line and sinker.

It’ll be interesting to see how tomorrow plays out.
