Third District Supervisor Neil Derry is calling for controversial airport developer Scot Spencer to be removed from operations at San Bernardino International Airport.

“My position now is that we need to foreclose on his leases and inform him that his services are no longer needed at San Bernardino International Airport or any of the airport’s affiliates,” Derry said early Wednesday.

Spencer is mired in financial trouble, including owing $545, 876 in delinquent property taxes, and roughly $650,000 in rent on buildings and hangars at the airport.

Airport officials last month removed Spencer from a hangar space because he was $73,000 behind on a license agreement.

“The guy can’t pay his bills. He’s been in arrears for years.
