SAN BERNARDINO – Rep. Joe Baca, D-San Bernardino, hosted his annual water conference at the Inland Regional Center in San Bernardino on Thursday.

Local and federal water officials were able to meet with community stakeholders and discuss policies and practices necessary to ensure a safe, reliable, and affordable supply of water in the Inland area.

“Clean, reliable sources of water are critical to the health and economic well-being of the Inland Empire,” Baca said. “I am glad to host this conference, which brought together a number of diverse voices to exchange ideas on how we can best work together to maintain and improve water access for local communities.”

Panelists at the conference emphasized innovative ways to increase access to a safe, affordable water supply. Attendees discussed local water projects necessary for continued local development, and obstacles that currently impede local water service.
