Now allegations emerge on back door deal proposals over San Bernardino County redistricting.

It never ends.

For some bizarre reason, a couple of Third District Supervisor Neil Derry’s colleagues believe he is pulling the strings on thousands of Mountain communities residents. Residents who didn’t want to be a apart of the second supervisorial district.

This belief was a major point of contention between Derry and Supervisors Josie Gonzales and Janice Rutherford. Gonzales wanted to offer a slightly altered proposal as long as Derry made the Mountain residents shut up.

Sorry to disappoint. But they, the mountain residents, are pissed because they were talked down to.

Their main beef?

They have no community of interest with Valley cities, and they don’t like Supervisor Janice Rutherford.

A pretty simple and valid complaint.

For the past several months the residents have been talked down to by Rutherford and other members of the board and they don’t like it.

The “let them eat cake” approach employed by Rutherford only stirred the pot even more.

Well, the new district boundaries are approved and what’s done is done.

Bad feelings from being mistreated like the residents were don’t subside for a long time.

Now it’s Rutherford’s problem to deal with.
