A week after her campaign treasurer was arrested by the FBI, U.S. Rep. Loretta Sanchez’s office says the congresswoman’s campaign account “has been nearly wiped out.”

Adrienne Elrod, Sanchez’s chief of staff, declined to say how much is gone, but confirmed that the account managed by Kinde Durkee is nearly empty. According to Federal Election Commission records, Sanchez had $378,928.50 in the bank at the end of June.

Durkee, arrested last week on suspicion of mail fraud, was set to be released from jail Friday on a $200,000 appearance bond. She is suspected of taking $677,000 in campaign money from Orange County Assemblyman Jose Solorio and moving money between his account and the accounts of Sanchez, U.S. Rep. Susan Davis and Irvine city councilwoman Beth Krom.

Orange County State Sen. Lou Correa has said he is also a victim and the L.A. County Democratic Party, another Durkee client, is missing more than $200,000.
