State redistricting commissioner Michael Ward of Anaheim got a lot of attention this week after he accused the panel of breaking the law in how it drew new Assembly, Senate, congressional and Board of Equalization districts.

Ward was a straight-no vote Monday. Only one other commissioner opposed any of the maps: Jodie Filkins Webber, a Norco attorney who joined Ward, a fellow Republican, in opposing the congressional plan.

Filkins Webber had previously declined to comment on her objections. But minutes after Ward finished teeing off on his colleagues Monday, Filkins Webber explained her position.
