When David McKenna held a news conference June 29 to announce his candidacy for San Bernardino city attorney, the only people who showed up were two reporters and McKenna’s retired optometrist.

As of late last week McKenna had not hired a campaign manager, nor had he identified any sources of large financial contributions.
