Sources say San Bernardino City Councilman Fred Shorett is considering leaving the city council soon.
Shorett has found himself embroiled in a controversy, to include a District Attorney investigation, over alleged improper conduct surrounding the towing business of former colleague Jason Desjardins.
The investigation center on whether or not Shorett made commitments related to the towing contract in exchange for monetary compensation.
Desjardins resigned earlier this year over concerns of a conflict of interest between his two roles as a councilman and a city contractor.
There is one thing for sure and that is Shorett will not resign as long as Joe “I wish I had a brain” Arnett resides in the Fourth Ward.
