A review of public records from 2007-2009 show alleged bribes, made in the form of political action contributions by Colonies Partners, inexplicably went far and wide.
Not in politicians pockets as has been portrayed in the media.
Not to any certain official as alleged in court filings.
A thorough review of campaign disclosure documents filed with the California Secretary of State and San Bernardino County Registrar of Voters reveals some very interesting information.
In this article we take a look at the Alliance for Ethical Government. The political action committee alleged to be “secretly” operated by Mark Kirk, former chief of staff to County Supervisor Gary Ovitt.
Monies received by the PAC was disbursed to local candidates and service vendors.
Yes, service vendors!
The filings reflect the following information.

Please take the time to post the various PACs Lewis Homes created or donated to. They have dozens covering most cities with donations totaling millions, making Colonies small potatoes. They have contributed to multiple school board races and initiatives. All organized corruption in my book, but legal as long as Mikey is on your side to go after your enemies. David Lewis did no kill himself over a divorce or money, but simply because he was ashamed to see how corrupt his family had become.
RIP DL. Hey Mikey, how can Kirk be a political “consultant” and a County employee at the same time?
Great Money Trails:
First, “Lewis Homes” ceased to exist many years ago when they sold out to KB.
Second, Ralph Lewis had more integrity than everybody I have ever met in the development industry combined.
Third, Political Action Committees are legal. I would be surprised if there is a politician anywhere in the entire country who has not received a PAC contribution.
Fourth, your insight into David Lewis’ motive for taking his own life is your opinion, and an appalling one.
You are unanimously awarded the idiot of the week award.
Mark Kirk is NO political consultant!
Kirk is a man easily bought, as the excessively high contributions show.
Through his county position he has been selling confidential county information to developers and vendors, allowing them to ultimately win the county contracts.
Kirk’s high price is for his known last-minute inside information leaked in order for his contributors to quickly maneuver and secure those county contracts.
This isn’t the Colonies but the Lewis Companies as someone above was talking about.
This isn’t PAC monies, but check out the “developer fees” to Upland for $1,000,000 dollars. And no development has occurred!
It was amazing that Bob Cable was making noise about airport encroachment issues, then $1 million dollars given to the city of Upland as development fees and approval of a project that hasn’t even broke ground.
Pay to Play? And Cable goes away!
And the city gets a brand new pretty red fire truck that has caused other problems on it’s own.
Observer of Facts
You may talk highly of the Lewis Family, but they are a fraud. They want to talk about healthy communities and the schools, parks, and community centers they have build, but the reality is quite different. They simply build multi family housing in every city because they bank roll via (campaign donations) enough council and school district board members to get projects approved no city in their right mind would support.
I said it was all legal. I never said it was illegal. They have a army of lawyers ready to destroy anyone who gets in their way. In the most recent case they us their contacts with Hansberger and Ramos to go after Colonies. They even have the gull to claim they are not involved but legal documents and FPPC forms show their fingerprints quite clearly.
I have personally met every one in the family including the late DL and they are all full of themselves. Fakes and Frauds who are used to getting their way in every town because they spent millions buying votes.
There are plenty of politicians who have not taken money from PACs. You don’t have credibility claiming that everyone gets money. It is organized bribery to get money from PACs. People are not stupid. They know that for that money the politicians need to vote the right way. Without the money they don’t get elected.
Interesting:
Properly reported PAC contributions are public record.
You claim that “plenty” of politicians have not received PAC contributions; please cite the name of one of them.
Good point Observer. They ALL have including the sleaze D.A. Mikey
Here is how you can find out. Go to each city clerk and request FPPC for each public official.
There are plenty and they dont spend time bragging here about no donations from PACs.
Clean Public:
Your non responsive comment would make a seasoned politician proud.
I know how to find out if a “public official” has received a PAC contribution; please cite the name of one of the “plenty” of them who “dont spend time bragging.”
Observer
You must be a developer looking for a clean politician to bribe with PAC money:)
You will find one, but don’t wait for names here.
I doubt they will take your offer though.
As to the Lewis Family and what they have been doing and are doing. I would not say they have gotten away with it in a future tense. I still have hope that the final chapter of this “Corruption Investigation” has not been written, and when it is the Lewis family will be the main characters. God will not let Richard fly far enough nor will he let Randall retire fast enough before justice is served and their evil empire is revealed. Let us pray.
Arent the Lewis bros. behind Paul Biane’s name on libraries?
Funny:
I am not a developer, and am not looking to bribe anybody. However, if I was going to bribe somebody, it not be with something as transparent as a PAC contribution.
Your comment is more of the same non-responsive rhetoric.
Once again, can anybody name one elected official who has not received a PAC contribution?
