First it is former County Counsel Ruth Stringer remaining on county payroll burning accrued leave time while continuing to receive full benefits.
Now it appears former county administrative officer Mark Uffer could be doing the same thing.
Uffer, who was dismissed by county supervisors in November 2009, was treated to a one year severance package.
Meaning Uffer remained on county payroll for an additioanl year.
Now, six months after the expiration of his severance, Uffer may still be on active payroll.
Online records for the San Bernardino County Employees Retirement Association (SBCERA) do not show Uffer being processed for either an active or deferred retirement.
A transaction usually occurring within six months of leaving active county employment.
