TWENTYNINE PALMS – The U.S. Navy Department outlined plans on Monday to nearly double the size of the Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center here to be able to accommodate brigade-sized training at the desert base.
The Navy plans to hold a series of public information sessions in San Bernardino County, including a meeting tonight in Ontario.
The first meeting was Tuesday night at Bell Center Gym, Copper Mountain College in Joshua Tree.
The second meeting will be from 5 to 9tonight in the gym at Ontario High School, 901 W. Francis St.
The final meeting will also be from 5 to 9p.m. Thursday at the Hilton Garden Inn, 12603 Mariposa Road, Victorville.
