InlandPolitics: Postmus plea rumor without foundation

Rumors have been circulating within the local legal community about the plea agreement state and county prosecutors reached earlier this month with former San Bernardino County Supervisor Bill Postmus.

The rumor in question centers around whether or not Postmus entered into what is referred to as a “West” plea.

The PE: Retirees Rebuffed

About 200 retirees pleaded with the San Bernardino County retirement board Thursday not to take away small monthly subsidies that help them defray spiraling health costs.

It was to no avail. The vote was 5-4 to transfer remaining subsidy money into a county reserve. A trustee appointed two days earlier cast the deciding vote.
