The City Council-elect of the soon-to-be city of Jurupa Valley will hold its first meeting on March 17 at 7:30 p.m. at the Jurupa Community Center.

Tentative agenda items include when, where and what time the council members-elect will meet regularly and a discussion of city staffing.

Voters on March 8 approved Measure A which means the Jurupa Valley will become Riverside County’s 28th city on July 1, 2011.

The Jurupa Valley includes the communities of Mira Loma, Glen Avon, Pedley, Indian Hills, Sunnyslope, Jurupa Hills, Belltown and Rubidoux.
