A lawsuit filed by a former mistress and employee of San Bernardino County District Attorney Michael Ramos was tossed out Thursday morning by a Superior Court Judge, who did a complete turnaround from a tentative ruling given yesterday.

Superior Court Judge Frank Gafkowski, who initailly indicated in a written tentative ruling that plaintiff Cheryl Ristow would be allowed to add additional facts to her already lengthy complaint, inexplicably turned on a dime Thursday morning throwing out Ristow’s entire case.

Gafkowski in his verbal ruling indicated the relationship between Ristow and Ramos was consensual and her complaint revolved around sexual harassment from a relationship that occurred too long ago.

Sources close to the case say Gafkowski disregarded facts supporting Ristow’s claim that she was being pressured her superiors, as recently as 2009, to keep the past relationship secret, when it became public in a local tabloid.

When reached by phone Ristow says she will continue her fight. Ristow said her attorney is taking the matter to the 4th District Court of Appeal in Riverside.
