All five members of the San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors have now declined a two percent pay increase as prescribed by Charter Measure P.
A good move on their part considering the county budget deficit, their current benefits package, and demands the county will be placing on employees later this spring.
However all four county-wide elected officials, who are reportedly still simmering over cuts to their benefit packages, scooped up a four percent pay boost as prescribed by Charter Measure K.
Here is the current salary levels.

What a f***ing disgrace.
How did these salary and benefit levels climb so high???????
No county in the state has salary plus benefits to this extreme.
Hey Hoopster, you keep sucking up that cash in light of the present situation.
How you going to convince Abernathie to sell it to the members this time around, so you keep in good graces with the CAO and BOS!!!
People will only be stupid so long, and I think your running out of options.
Your running out of rope, just a matter of time before it snaps.
These scum are worthless pieces of crap and are a disgrace to public service. Since they gave all their authority to their new “CEO” they should have their staffs stripped to 1 person and their pay part time, at most.
There is no reason whatsoever that these people need to be making that much money at taxpayer expense. None of the county leadership deserves the ridiculous salaries that they collect and they all look like hypocrites when they ask their minions to take pay cuts and give up benefits time and time again.
If anyone with half a brain was in charge during the boom years of the housing bubble, they would have banked a good chunk of the record amounts of property taxes that the county was collecting. It didn’t take a rocket scientist to see that this revenue stream would not last forever. Of course being typical politicians and political appointees, they spent that money like drunken sailors and now we are all in a world of hurt.
Land Use Services tried to tell them exactly that….all they could see was a large sum of money to be used elsewhere…thus they “reorganized” to hide the screw up. Land Use Services had it right! Innocent people/employees got hurt
