Former Riverside County District Attorney Rod Pacheco is out of the business of prosecuting criminals but not done practicing law.

The county’s former top prosecutor, who officially left office Monday, is now working for SNR Denton, an international law firm with offices in San Francisco and Los Angeles, where the Inland Empire native will be based.

According to the law firm, Pacheco will be a member of SNR Dentron’s White Collar & Investigations team.

“With over 26 years of public service experience, including serving as a state assemblyman and as district attorney for California’s third-largest county, Rod has the right blend of litigation and legislative experience, as well as strong relationships on the local, state and federal levels, that will further enhance our growing White Collar & Government Investigations practice and our ability to broadly serve clients,” said Glenn Colton, who heads the unit.

The firm highlighted Pacheco’s background in tackling political corruption and high-profile environmental cases as major assets to the white-collar practice.
