Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger has vetoed a measure that would have required the Fair Political Practices Commission to post online gifts that interest groups report giving to lawmakers and staff.

Assembly Bill 2007, by Assemblyman Anthony Adams, R-Hesperia, was introduced after dozens of lawmakers incurred fines for failing to report gifts interest groups claimed to have given them.

Schwarzenegger wrote in his veto message Monday the bill was unnecessary.
