Inland Rep. Ken Calvert was hospitalized briefly Tuesday, and was released after a “minor procedure,” a spokesman for the Corona Republican said.
Calvert, 57, had attended a pair of events early Tuesday and was feeling poorly, Jason Gagnon said. After developing a fever, he was taken to Corona Regional Medical Center, where doctors treated him for an unspecified infection before releasing him a short time later Gagnon said.
He declined to elaborate further on the nine-term lawmaker’s ailment, but said Calvert was expected to resume his regular schedule today.
“It was nothing too serious,” Gangnon said.
