I have always heard that management and exempt employees are not required to put in 40 hours a week like us work stiffs. All they have to do is put in enough time to get their work done. I am not really sure where that is written or who made that rule. I would think if a manager/exempt employee thinks he is doing a fine job by only showing up for few hours a week then how can you fault them; they are following the rules after all. Hey and if they are wrong; just have them pay the money back. As a taxpayer it pisses me off that such a rule or attitude exist in our county. I have to work 40 per week to get paid for 40 hours and so should everyone else. Too bad this court does not have the authority to write policy for the county.
