I received a few calls today regarding the posts on the various county races. Apparently some of the challengers are oblivious to the fact that even during an anti-incumbent atmosphere as we witness today, challengers still have to put on viable campaigns.

By viable campaigns I mean published ballot statements, literature including positive and negative, and last but not least signage (Yard and 4′ x 8′ placement).

This activity costs money. Only one challenger has raised more than $100,000, a second spent $40,000 of his own money, and a third raised a few thousand. Some of you challengers actually raised nothing and you and your supporters expect a win.

If those of you who actually believe there is a groundswell of support ready to carry you into an upset victory, think again!

How do you honestly expect to raise your name identification? Only two of you challengers in all the county races combined have dropped at least one piece of mail to high propensity households. Only three of you paid for ballot statements.

Do any of you have hundreds of grassroots volunteers going door-to-door everyday?

How do you expect voters to vote for you if they don’t know who you are? Memory beams from Mars!

Come on folks…..
