No, this is Obama version 2. The guy lies about his desire to protect the people of this County. he could care less if dopers, tweakers, paper fraud, MDSO’s, and the like get there day in court. Plea em and move on. Screw the victims rights, we need to understand the plight of the oppressed, ain’t that right Franky. The defense bar will love having this guy as DA! Just say no!
Wow. How often does it happen that an official party organization goes agaist its own incumbent?
Steve, just maybe they have come to realize they don’t want to attached themselves to some thing they feel stinks??
Thank goodness someone is thinking.
Some of us are Unwilling to make the same mistake again. Vote Guzman for DA.
Eliminating plea deals is just stupid. I believe in plea offers as it speeds up the judicial process. If every criminal case was tried in the county it would shut down the judicial system especially with budget cuts, furloughs and pending layoffs in the state courts. Did you folks read that in Los Angeles County they plan to lay off over 1000 state court employees within 18 months and shut down 180 courtrooms? This of course will impact all courts throughout the state as veteran state court employees will bump other state employees for their positions located in other counties.
L.A. county has a $500 million deficit, LA City is on verge of bankruptcy and just about every county and city in this state is having a fiscal crisis. California is $600 BILLION+ in debt and state politicians just kick the debt down the road and it just grows and grows. Moody’s released a CYA report that municipal bonds will likely collapse as cities throughout the USA can’t pay their debt.
Ramos is not perfect but what Guzman offers is a disaster for the county.
