Highland City Councilman Larry McCallon faces a $2,000 fine from the state political watchdog agency for misusing campaign funds.
McCallon used $2,800 from his council campaign account to pay for expenses related to his campaign for the San Bernardino County Republican Central Committee in 2008, the state Fair Political Practices Commission announced Monday.
State law prohibits a candidate from using money from one account to pay for expenses related to another elected office.
