Since we now all know that former San Bernardino Assistant Assessor and proverbial yellow Canary Adam Aleman’s word can be taken as gospel truth, why wasn’t former California Senator Jim Brulte arrested also? He wasn’t even named as a John Doe. (Nothing personal Jim! However, Erwin has had no luck getting the number for the off-shore account from Aleman so maybe you can give it a try.)
Aleman told investigators that both Jim Brulte and Jim Erwin received one percent of the Colonies Settlement as a kickback, which equates to $1.o2 million each.
It seems we have different standards of proof and believability depending on whether one is friend or foe of San Bernardino County District Attorney Mike Ramos.
I was wondering the same thing about why Jim Brulte wasn’t mentioned either??? He was in on the closed door meeting that threw county attorneys out against their wishes??? And duh, we pay these guys big bucks!!! I want to be a Supervisor or Brulte!!! I want to get away with everything!!!
Yes the term and use of standards around this County is quite scary in ALL Departments.
Maybe that was the trade for Brulte’s endorsement. You go scott free and you help me get re-elected. Sounds like bribery to me. At least under the DA of SBCO logic.
Business is business, period. Take out the question, was there bribes? Rewarding servants of your cause is part of the business world, and I am talking outside of government. “Public Servants” like our state and fed electeds and Mikey would not understand this because they have employeed—NO ONE! DO YOU PEOPLE UNDERSTAND THAT. YOU READERS that have never cut the paychecks on friday won’t even understand what this means. Half of you rely on the government to pay you for what you do, along with all of your benefits. Try being an employer and pay yourself after everyone else has been paid. I wouldn’t give most electeds or Mikey 6 months self employeed without a government assistance. THINK about that for a minute. If this deal really is clean and both Jim’s came to the aid of the County not taking it without lub——102 million is way less than the 300 million exposure—PERIOD. If I were one of the Jims and it was a clean deal I would have demanded 2 million for my services. Remember neither Jim was a county employee——get it—-BUSINESS WORLD. Give me my 2 million and I pay the tax. Then Mikey would have pounded sand and barked at the moon like a 2 year old not getting his sugar fix for the day. This whole case stinks.
What about the $100,000 that was given to Mitzelfelt around the same time? Why isn’t that considered a bribe? What about the judges? Judge Norell’s former wife has a home in the Colonies development. What about Judge Fawke who was recused by Marjorie Mikels when she challenged the settlement. The recusal motion was file stamped and then the file stamp was whited out.
Wasn’t Brulte at Mike Ramos’s fundraiser a couple months ago??

And to think that JB used to work for me, licking envelopes (CA ANG). He was a field rep for Sleeping Sam, and was doing his Annual Training during the summer recess.
My wife answered one of ads for employment, I would guess a PAC, and she quit after one hour.
