Well of course Erwin terrorized Postmus. Hell if someone threatened your meth addiction and rump ranger fun, wouldn’t you be scared? OK, but seriously, if you want to take the tack that one side of this situation is completely innocent while the other is just grandstanding (something I beleive has some degree of merit) you better have a unified front. I can just see one of the John Doe’s, you know, one with a family and a shiny new receipt for 50k for lawyers fees, becoming an canary real fast. Think he will wear a tie to his trial?
The reason for the John Doe’s instead of names, is this to protect the guilty until the Feds step in to clean up this conspiracy with a RICO suit? The two biggest racketeers are pictured above. Both Mikey and Moonbeam have way more to loose than any of the unnamed John Doe’s, they have elections to influence by becoming the biggest corruption fighters in California history! Tbss that the Feds will be following this up and expose these two supposed “corruption fighters” and the racketeering empire that they continue to enable through “selective prostitution” of public resources and enforcement.
OK.. so now is the time for the BOS to really step up and provide and stop hiding ALL of the EVIDENCE that Mike Ramos LIED through his zoom whitened teeth about the Sexual Harrassment claim. The BOS know the TRUTH.HONESTLY how do these people sleep at night? What is worse… the top prosecutor LYING THROUGHOUT A FORMAL INVESTIGATION to cover his sorry, scrawny ass. Mike Ramos CREDITABILITY is SH$% and he knows it. GOD will have the last say in the end and it will not pretty. Eventually the TRUTH will come out.
Hey ACU, you should change your name to All Corruption Unit. For several months, you have been crying about how the Sheriff’s department is corrupt and the alleged corruption on the Fifth floor. Now, when some of your “buddies” have been arrested or are in the zone of danger, you throw out your supposed 20 years of investigation experience and drink their Kool-aid. Do you really believe the District Attorney and the Attorney General would go to these lengths for nothing? To quote you, “It doesn’t pass the smell test”. You have been blinded by your allegience to these defendants. Pathetic.
He terrorized Postmus because he knew Postmus was a closet homosexual and was going to leak it. If it came out, Postmus would never be elected again, especially once it became known he was trolling for men on the web, which is now old news since it came out last year.

So – I think Mikey has figured out that the “voters” are much more influenced by BIG numbers and he is hoping they will forget that lil willy he can’t seem to keep in his pants.

It looks like Ramos and Brown believe in the nuclear option. This has got to be the most heavy handed prosecution in history. You have two guys who are unemployed and clearly no danger to society anymore and they get rearrested on high bail. They have made all of their court appearances, have strong ties to the community yet a judge feels that jacking their bail is appropriate. Contrast this with the fact that there are two sitting board members who actually voted on the Colonies settlement and the managing partners of the Colonies all of whom are unindicted co-conspirators or suspects and they all get off because there is insufficent evidence. How is this possible? All were connected to various pacs. Either these contributions were bribes or they weren’t.
Why did Ramos mention the fact he was beiing maligned and warned that he was going to continue to ferret out coruption. The only ones charged were his main critics on his uncontrolled womanizing. Perhaps this is an extortion of a different kind. Shut up or else. You just can’t have a DA who is so morally flawed. He is vulnerable to all kinds of pressures. He has his political survival to think about. If you do have a man with run away hormones as your DA, you get crazy results like this.
Ramos and JB are not as good as I would have expected. I had never seen Ramos on camera, but he sounds awful. His evidence is so strong, that he can’t even arrest the co- conspirators. IF this is all he has there is no way there will be a conviction. A first year lawyer can raise doubt over this case. It makes for big headlines but it will be much different in a court room in front of a jury..
I happen to know someone who is in the know regarding Ramos personal family life. I only found this out when the person mention that he wanted to run for Congress and was shocked to learn the person was referring to Ramos. When i asked this person point blank if the allegations against Ramos were true, the person smiled and said his personal life is out of bounds for someone who adores his family. The person then also said that everyone is human. So it is normal for a DA to sleep with the Public Attorney and a half dozen women and act drunk in public. This soap opera will not have a good ending for Ramos, because he is a moron who lacks good legal skills and carries too much sexual baggage. Going after Irwin (who I don’t believe is a saint), will be much harder then prosecuting the usual gang bangers for drugs and murders in SB County.
Esquire I don’t think John Doe’s 1-5 are going to get off, I think Ramos is going to arrest them when he get’s darn good and ready.
That is the clear tone he set. RAMOS wants Doe’s 1-5 to sweat bullets for now. He is playing with them like a cat does a mouse.
I can only imagine it will again be about the time someone is ready for trial and he will do again what he did yesterday. Add another charge to someones docket, arrest a new player in this game, throw a wrench into the mix. MORE delays for defense council. MORE headlines for Ramos and Moonbeam.
This is one of the greatest delay tactics in the business. He can play this game for another year or so, or should I say until right after he is re-elected.

The game-plan by the DA and AG is to make the John Doe’s sweat. They are looking for a “canary to sing”.
In a nutshell, they only have one witness, who is nothing but a “canary singing” to keep his ass out of prison. The current “canary” is already been charged with crimes that include coverups, destroying county property, ect.
Any good defense lawyer will impeach the sole “Canary” as a witness.

This prosecution is the eqivalent of a hail mary in football. The evidence they have as outlined in the new arrest warrant affidavits is the same as it was a year ago. It was insufficent then and it probably is now. I can hardly wait to see how they are planning to prove the conspiracy. You see they have to prove that there was an agreement between the co-conspirators before they get to the point of proving one or more of the overt acts. Alleman is their only witness on most of the overt acts but he apparently wasn’t a witness to any agreement. All of the co-conspirators have said there wasn’t any agreement. So who is going to testify that there was; that they got together and agreed to accept bribes in return for votes?
They have already stated that they don’t have sufficient evidence to charge the John Does. So that means they have evidence on only the charged defendants. Well, what is the difference?
And what about the inconsistent charges. Is Postmus a criminal defendant or a victim of Erwin’s extortion. Odd to charge them in the same complaint. Wait til they are sitting in court and the jury is wondering why the victim of the extortion is at the cousel table but is not called as a witness. This is a real cluster and it is going to be amusing to watch.
But DA Insider, the public isn’t getting there opinions on the DA from this blog, they are mainly seeing him through the local press. The scandal has been played way down there, and with the support of the Atty Gen. and the amount of the settlement, Postmus’s reputation, the BOS’s checkered past, and a general distrust of politicians in general, Mikey is building a huge taint of bias in the jury pool. Hell, I bet the jury wouldn’t be out for more that an hour if everyone waved and trial was held next month. Sgt has stolen my previously noted thunder: Biane is needed to tie up all the loose ends but he apparently thinks he can drag his family thorough this and come up unscathed. Kirk may be the secondary target. What was his PAC’s name; people for the ethical taking of money from slimy developers?
Hang on folks, we are in for some serious fun. Don’t see too many people signing pleas until Mikey and moonbeam get the second canary to join Adam on the perch.
