On the final page of the 28-page settlement agreement between the San Bernardino County Flood Control District, The County of San Bernardino, and the Colonies Partners, L.P. is a Mediator’s Statement.
Inquiring minds are wondering if someone mentioned this minor paragraph to Attorney General Brown before his political speech yesterday morning?
The Mediator, Edward Panelli, Associate Justice of the California State Supreme Court (Retired) rendered his opinion as to the settlement reached.
Panelli’s selection as Mediator was mutually agreed to by all parties in an effort to settle the costly long-standing litigation.

Gee…jim how many backroom deals,in SBC windup with a nice little bow on them.In the scope of things this document…means very little as does the grandstanding by the AG and the DA with these latest charges…what a show by ramos,he was almost gleeful in his presention.Very telling were his hot points, a rehash of facts all ready in play…seems all you Big Dogs have fleas….and postums back on the pipe eh!…you might want to consider a cannabis treatment to bridge you off that shit…fool
I would have felt a lot, well, a little better about this settlement had four individuals (oops, their PACs) not benefited from 100k deposits. Tell, you what, I am willing to forgive and forget if the BOS will approve an ordinance that allows general county employees to negotiate additional fund for our services to county customers.
I mean we are all thought of as being corrupt so we might as well just benefit from the perception. We can have a sliding scale for the expeditiousness of project reviews, a levy on all remittance of fees (hey, kinda like purchasing dings everyone for buying from Office Depot), booking processes can be shortened for the right amount of a “correctional gratuity”, employment applications can either get processed or “processed” if you know what I mean. Hell, we could even put in parking meters in the government center parking lot!
A few small points for the curious: 1) With all the money these partners received why would they bribe with reported contributions versus the good old paper back technique- makes one think either the Colony Parnters and the politicians who would be bribed by a contribution to a Pac are all morons or the accusation is complete Bullshit; 2)The district attorney wants to return the 102 million which is flood control money to the unemployed and to the police officers which cant be done since it has to be used for flood control, sounds like reelection grandstanding or just lieing to the public; 3) If the 102 million dollar settlement is unwound doesn’t that mean the Colonies can sue for all the damages, 300 million? 4) The DA’s office could hurt taxpayers by going down this road with their playing politics in a legal arena. 5)Did I miss something or weren’t all the accusations old news, so why the timing- could it be the AG slipping in the polls for Governor against mighty Meg. 6) Looks like the DA has lost more hair since his press photo was taken, hmmm I wonder why?
BECAUSE MIKE RAMOS IS A LIAR. SIMPLE.
It appears to me that Ramos wants to divert attention from his own misdeeds and Brown wants the endorsement of the California District Attorneys Association for his gubernatorial run later this year. Postmus and Erwin are probably no saints but this whole thing reeks of political posturing by Ramos and Brown.

I have never had sex with any celebrity nor have I ever claimed to have. I dated Rick Bell, who was a Kansas City Chiefs ball player, decades ago.As far as celebrity friends, I do know a few women celebrities from my professional Full figured modeling career. Why would that be so hard to believe. I know who said those ridiculous things and that would be DDA Denise Yoakum. She was one of the women named in the sex scandal article in the Sentinel. It seems to me she is freaking out because her “perfect image and perfect marriage” could be coming to an end. SHe is a narcissistic bitch who thrives on drama surrounding her. What goes around comes around eh Denise? Mike may think that his”sticks and stones” schtick will break my spirit, but all it does is solidify my belief that he cannot or will not break me. I am a strong woman, with the TRUTH on my side.
It only makes sense that the Colonies boyz bought the mediator (ret. judge) just the same. Since he was in the private sector when the settlement was made, anything goes, sort of like the pedophile ret.-judge Kamanski, they are both still feeding and benefiting financially from the public trough (like the pigs they are).
