Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger announced the appointment of two Inland area residents to state boards Wednesday.
Bruce Barton, 49, of Menifee, has been appointed to the Commission on Emergency Medical Services, according to the governor’s office.
Barton has worked as an emergency medical technician and paramedic. He has served as director of the Emergency Medical Services Agency for the Riverside County public health department since 2007. He worked as director of operations for American Medical Response from 2005 to 2007.
The position does not require Senate confirmation and there is no salary.
Barton is a Republican.
Patricia Lock-Dawson, 44, of Riverside, has been appointed to the Board of Behavioral Sciences.
