Devilreaux must have instructed the investigative law firm to adjust the scope of their efforts (is this why they charged another $65K) to keep a lid on things. Supposedly the investigation isn't even commenting on the truth of the accusation of harassment in the workplace due to the improper relationship itself, but instead, only reviewed the charge of retaliation by the County once the affair became public knowledge. I've seen this same kind of limited scoping of such an investigation be conducted under Ovitt and Devilreaux's oversight in Ontario...does anyone remember the Councilwoman Debra Acker's plight to reform Ontario's corruption? Watch out Supervisor Derry, this is how Ovitt and Devilreaux roll with public funds when they want to cover their corrupt behinds, and at the same time spin the situation against the official demanding reform of a corrupted system.
