Hansberger
Yes, just when you think it couldn’t get any more ridiculous than it already is. Coming out of left field, but not totally unexpected.
Murmurings are beginning to surface out of the Redlands contingent that ousted former county supervisor Dennis Hansberger may be in revenge mode.
Wait, I forgot.
Hansberger is always in revenge mode.
It seems his defeat in June 2008 has really gotten the best of him. Whatever that was.
The terms bitter and angry come to mind.
Now the former supervisor may be actually considering a run against the man who unexpectedly defeated him, that person being Third District Supervisor Neil Derry.
It seems Hansberger wanted to ‘retire” from county government after serving a sixth term and anoint his successor. Third District voters decided otherwise and spoiled the sought for “legacy”.
The Redlands “Old Guard” (I mean really old!) must be restless. Reports say it could be related to Viagra overdose. I don’t think the Tartan has ran out of booze yet.
I can see the Hansberger campaign slogans now.
“I’m seeking to return as your county supervisor because the incumbent has accomplished more in one year, than I did my entire last term in office.”
“I really didn’t destroy all of my district files before I left office. It was the one-armed man.”
“Having my name on the County Museum’s Hall of Geologic Wonders wasn’t enough. I really want it on the new county government center.”
“That last pension grab wasn’t big enough. I want more.”
You have to admit, it doesn’t get any better than this.
Stay tuned.

Hansberger needs to check his ego at the door and try to enjoy retirement
Can anyone honestly see this man raise enough money to run, let alone win?
He sure won’t spend his own.
The voters wanted a change.
Let it go.
Now this is a big surprise! Hansberger wants to return to the bad old days of him and Foster running the county. Right, that’s all we need!
Since Derry has come aboard the County is finally taking a turn for the better. Some of the more disgusting practices are being addressed. Some level of integrity and professionalism is being infused at the Board level. And we are supposed to want a return to the Hansberger days? I dont think so.
Hansberger brought us Ramos and Uffer. Need I say more. If it werent for Hansberger we would still have a good DA in there. After all it was Hansberger that set up Stout for defeat in order to get his buddy Ramos in there..and we all know how THAT turned out! No, Hansberger’s days are thankfully done. I say “BRING IT ON” to Mr Derry. Keep up the good fight. You will prevail in the end and we will eventually end the long Uffer-Hansberger-Ramos days one and for all.
Hansy thinks he needs to come back to save Mikey from his impending demise. Don’t even think about it, you are way too late! The old Redlands guard is apparently relying on a Hansberger appointee to the Housing Authority of the County of San Bernardino to “assist” with raining-in development projects in the jurisdiction. Only one little problem, the appointee is also a City of Redlands employee, Agency representative for SBPEA and the Chairman of the North Redlands Visioning Committee (NRVC). This isn’t the Super Mario Bros. video game, this is a reality episode to top all reality episodes. If Hansy tries to stick his nose back into County politics any further than it already is, has he ever heard about cutting off his nose to spite his face? Mikey’s failure to do anything about this conflicted situation isn’t helping either, like he doesn’t have enough on his plate with his own escapades. All anyone has to do is look in the newspapers to see what developer Super Mario is pitching today. ED Susan B. says that the County Housing Authority doesn’t support Super WalMart…then why is the Chairman continuing to spread big business/ big government “redevelopment” propaganda? Don’t tell me, Hansy bought Pat G’s WMC stock when she had to sell it because it was becoming an issue that might effect her political career? Which politico actually stands to make the most if the Super WalMart is allowed in Redlands, with the vacation of their existing store within City limits? Guess we’ll just have to check the recent Form 700′s along w/ the campaign contribution forms for the retirees Hansberger, Penrod and current “public servants” Ramos, Saucedo, Martinez, and Harrison to find out the whole story. Stay tuned, the bigger they are, the harder they fall!
