A complaint has been file with the California Fair Political Practices Commission (FPPC) against San Benardino County District Attorney Mike Ramos for failing to properly disclose funds paid to his wife.
The complaint alleges that Ramos failed to report income received by his wife Gretchen. Official campaign disclosure statements on file with the San Bernardino County Registrar of Voters in 2008 indicate Ramos paid his wife $10,000.00 for “Campaign Services” from his campaign committee.
However, a review of Ramos’ FPPC Form 700 Statement of Economic Interest signed under penalty of perjury and filed earlier this year for the period 01/01/2008 through 12/31/2008 does not list the income as required by the state. The FPPC requires the reporting of all income paid to an officials spouse, with the only exception being compensation from a public agency.
The $10,000.00 payment was made between 01/01/2008 and 06/30/2008.
Ramos is such a hypocrit. He should be arrested for this and have to post bail sice he thinks these reporting violtions are so serious.
